For me, I had been using the ᏟDᏒ site for a long time as a lurking leech. It was a great resource. When the update came, I was initially sad. Eventually, I got a SummerCart. Early in 2025 I got an N64 again and was exploring the library. I wanted to download some roms to test the SummerCart out with and went to ᏟDᏒ to get one. When I arrived and was met with the fact I had to make an account, I said “dang. That’s right.” I made an account and got the rom I needed, but I noticed the forums.

I’m young and dumb. I missed out on forum culture at its peak. I’ve always heard of forums secondhand. For the last year and a half, I’ve taken a personal ban on the use of social media for the most part, keeping almost entirely to myself on the internet outside of talking to very close friends. I’ve been out in the real world a lot, which has been nice, but I’ve had so many pent up thoughts about gaming and nerdy stuff.

I took this time to actually join the forums. I came up with a catchy username, got a cute pfp that fit that name (I actually owned the Mothra-Tama at some point but it must’ve been misplaced in my previous move), themed my account after Vib Ribbon because that game has a lovely aesthetic, and started posting around. Since then, I’ve been off and on with posting, but I’ve been so happy I joined.

Thank you to all the lovely folks who make this site possible. Thank you to all my fellow forum users for posting fun stuff. Thank you to everyone for simply being here. I love that we all come from different backgrounds, lifestyles, places of the world, etc. but we are all able to come here to just have some fun and talk about stuff we like. It’s a great feeling.

I also have been using ᏟDᏒ for years and after the update I figured, "Hey, look at that! They have a forum! I'm gonna try it!"

A good decision was made that day.

Same reason, been leeching off ᏟDᏒ for as long as I can remember, stumbled upon RGT accidentally since the drama or whatever happening on that other site.

I used to frequent forums back in the day, had the privilege to mod and co-lead organizations in some of them, every single one of 'em died out due to unfortunate circumstances. Since then I only lurks around plenty of communities, never intended to join anyway, I can tell when a forum has a bad vibe.

RGT is the one, THE only one after years and years of forum hopping where I didn't feel that bad mojo whatsoever, so I took a leap, made an account, and here I am.
Seems I made the right decision.

Used CDR for ages. Read the ”Moving on” post and got bummed. Months later I wanted to get some PS2 iso and I realized RGT was made in the ashes of CDR so I registered.
Didn’t originally plan to use the forums, but I had been craving this kind of community for ages and I’m greatly enjoying my time here!

I've joined for many reasons, all of them based on how grateful I am to ᏟDᏒ not only for their consistent effort in providing a great experience to the user for so many years (I used to be - like others here - quite the leech), but for having a great community, which I'm very, VERY grateful to be a part of.

Coincidentally, the Forums were launched like a month or two after I started thinking "hey, maybe I should explore this site a little further, there seems to be quite a lot more to find here other than useful ROMs, lol"

Thanks again for the wonderful community, guys. 300k is so close. Hope the forums will continue to be nurtured with much care.

I lurked for a very long time from CDR to RGT, saw a thread where people were saying thanks to Spike. I posted a thank you and then started looking around, saw how nice and cool everyone seemed, and decided to stay. This place has been really great to me.
