Maximum Tune is the series with the Yuzo music. There's like a billion different versions released in arcade but no console ports. The ones developed by Genki including this one play more like Tokyo Extreme Racer.

*edit my mistake, Yuzo did do music for the earlier Wangan Midnight games as well, however Genki did not develop Maximum Tune.

TeknoParrot can emulate the arcade Wangan Midnight games, I have the files but still have not tested. I'm actually playing TXR remaster, but Wangan is my favorite because of the anime.

tokyo xtreme racer games are always fun
i can't wait for Forza Horizon 6 which is basically all the japan racing stuff, sure hope they put a lot of highway races in it!

There's a car from Shutoko Battle/TXR that you can even unlock in this if I remember right. And in TXR the final boss after you beat all the rivals is usually the Devil Z (the newest game's iteration of it even has the same license plate).

Also you can play different character stories, including for whatever reason the guy who drove the truck that caused the Devil Z to crash and catch fire
