Released from 2005 to 2007 and lasting 26 episodes, this series was meant to be a "Glow up" for the Looney Tunes IP after the failure of Back in Action (Underserved BTW, in my eyes it is easly better than Space Jam, there i said it)

Year 2772, a meteor crashed in Acmetropolis, changing its axis and fucking killing all life on Earth due to tidal waves and inertia and all that caused waves of a mysterious power that ended with many people getting superpowers, your usual "Mass empowering" plot, one of those empowered people are the titular Loonatics, the six descendants of the by then Iconic roster of Looney Tunes, that means Lola was canon too, meaning she got her descendant too, together and guided by the usual "Mysterious guidance" Zadavia must defeat the forces of evil

Remember the show? through it was a fever dream, joined the hatedom or believed it was okay but not the worst show ever? leave your comments

I used to watch this cartoon late at night, around 10 pm, in my country where we have a channel that used to show old cartoons. I really liked it; it seemed like a great cartoon. I liked the duck. In my opinion, it was a good program.

No joke, for some reason even though I was literally at the perfect childhood age for this show when it originally aired and Kids' WB was something I watched every weekday after school (before the weekday block ended) and Saturday mornings, I have literally zero memory of this show ever being a thing. Not just 'Oh I never watched it', I mean I don't remember any promos or advertising, any merchandise (was there even merchandise? Probably had a toyline or something), literally nothing.

What the Hell.

Oh yeah, I used to catch a few episodes of that along with Batman Beyond and the OG Justice League series. I've also seen a nice vid on that by Jordan Fringe on YT.

Hot take, I used to freaking love this show as a kid. Remember they put in right between the 90s Batman and Superman animated shows, guess it kinda has a similar vibe lmao

From what I remember... The Bugs one had laser eyes (basically Cyclops) and an anime sword, obviously Roadrunner had super speed (the thing with his character was that he was slow, which affected him because of who he was a descendant of lmao), Taz was just Hulk, Lola I think had psychic powers, Duffy had fire, and the Wile e coyote guy obviously was the tech savvy with like tinkering powers or something
he was the best character of the show xD

And honestly, I can see why I liked it. It was just dumb fun that, although edgy at times, but at the end of the day it still was your typical WB Saturday Cartoon.

Fun fact; in the latin American dub the descendant of Bugs (who was the leader of the team) has Ben 10's voice lol

Agreed, the show wasn't exactly bad, but it could benefit from some more oven time, especially since it had good ideas, but otherwise it was fine for the lineup

That said, be her or her descendant, Lola is always the best part of otherwise okay shows

It was an edgier "villain of the week" style cartoon aimed at older kids that was a bit mediocre but not bad at all. It really could have benefited from developing the plot a bit more and maybe making the characters a bit more unique instead of leaving them looking like someone's looney tunes fan characters lol

I never watched a single episode, but I knew about it from ads and thought it was really cool.

This series lives rent free on my head to this day, i remember loving it as a kid. Thought the designs were super dope and last year after i revisited the show my inner kid said "Yep... still dope".

Oh, it's that show that Huggbees reviewed a long time ago. I thought it was alright, the concept was really cool.
I did not remember all that much about it, only time it was brought up was when TTG brought it up and made an episode. Due to the Warner Animation president Sam Register having a really mean hate bone for this show and basically using Raven as a mouth piece for him. (Before you ask, no the Loonatics did not have any speaking role in that episode at all. The Titans used the costumes and powers to cause all sorts of havoc. This was done by killing the Loonatics with a metiorite.)

Although I was aware of this show, I have never seen it. It looked interesting though.

Trying to make a Saturday Morning cartoon darker and edgier doesn't always work...

Experimentation is a part of what makes franchises last so long, but yeah. Loonatics was an especially failed experment.

This landed just when I was entering the obligatory (and stupid) "Cartoons are for kids" state as a teen.
It always felt like Loonatics Unleashed came out a decade too late, it would have felt more at home in the 90's before pokemania derailed the trend of edgy/more mature reimagining's established by Batman the Animated series. (And the waves of TMNT clones)

You post Loonatics, I see the Mighty Ducks wearing Batman Beyond's aesthetics.

I watched this back in highschool on YT. Pulled an all-nighter watching it and I do not regret it. Honestly, I wish it like Road Rovers had another season. Give some more diversity other than the Tiny Toons.

Well, if you and others like this, fine. Some approaches a franchise takes perform well with certain people, and others that bomb epically like Loonatics Unleashed still manage to get a following. In fact, I guarantee that a lot of people who despise Loonatics also happen to love Duck Dodgers, a full-length series based on Daffy Duck's egocentric bumbling superhero alter ego from the classic Merry Melody Duck Dodgers in the 24th 1/2 Century, and vice versa.

That's the thing about long running franchises like James Bond, the Marvel Cinematic Universe/X-Men Film Series (they're basically one and the same now), Mobile Suit Gundam, Star Wars, Godzilla and yes, The Looney Tunes: even unpopular directions they take can still gain some admirers.

A decade too late but I think that trying to appeal to teens will make it only appeal to that age group while cartoons for all public are seen as timeless and cross-generational.

Forgor to mention it, but apparently it had some input from one of the staff of another show named SWAT cats
