Waffles Vs. Pancakes!

I've been asked this question only a handful of times in my life. Do I like the fluffy pillow feeling of a pancake or do I like the crunchy feeling of a waffle?
I am undecided. Maybe some of you have some insight. Which is better?

Haven't eaten a good waffle in who knows how long, so I guess it's pancakes for me by default.

Instead of pancake or waffle, I've got my own champion: Pukis (like the one in my profile pic). It's my long-time breakfast of choice. Its bottom part is crunchy-ish (not cracker* crunchy), but the inside is very soft. It's kinda pancake, but also not pancake, idk what to categorize it into. We call it "kue" pukis here in Indonesia, so its Indonesian category is kue. But, then again, cake is kue bolu, pie is kue pai, pancake is kue panekuk, waffle is kue wafel. So... you get it, right? Everything is kue here ?

It's good to eat with black coffee with no, or very small amount of sugar. Maybe good with tea too, I heard so at least, but tea is just not my cup of coffee.

There's also another form to pukis (like the ones in the attached pic below), but I only have one mold, so I stole the pic below from the internet lol

I saw a meme online of 'ranking' Pancakes, French Toast, Waffles earlier this year.
I sent it to friends and it nearly started a war.
Personally, a really good waffle is like a rare treat to me, whereas I've had many pancakes of varying quality. When it's a good waffle it hits pretty hard. So I'm going to go with waffle. And if I had to rank the three in the trio I mentioned higher. Waffles, Pancakes, French Toast.

Personally, not a fan of Cakey textures, more of a birthday steak kinda guy. French Toast is awesome, but my dudes, if you've never had a salty and savory piece of fried chicken on a sweet Waffle, then you haven't lived.

You know, both of them, there is no difference for me.
It is like confusing waffles (being waffles) and yousef (being pancakes), all the time.

I only eaten like 3 waffles in my life, last two I made myself and they have never been crispy. I have only eaten the flat kind pancakes. They're both ok
