Help Vita3k audio issues

Wanted to try out Vita emulation on my PC. I get a constant droning on starting a game that I think is from the emulator itself? I can mute the game but I still get the droning noise. Separately, all games I've tried have a horrendous "tv static"-like crackling to the audio.
I've messed around with the audio options, but nothing has changed.
Anyone got an idea of what is wrong? or do I just give up on Vita emulation for now?

I'm using SDL audio backend audio sounds fine. Have you switched to Cubeb and tested to see if problem persists?

I found the solution! I didn't realize I also needed an official update file from Sony's website. Sorry for the trouble, and thank you for helping me anyway!

Yep. The problem seemed off because never experienced such an issue on the emulator whatsoever, even when I tried it years ago despite the emulator wasn't really ready to play much games so the issue happening in different games was alarming. I'm glad it wasn't a big deal system, even hardware issue.

Vita3k these days runs very okay with minor graphical glitches here and there kinda a little worse than PCSX2 regarding it but games are generally playable now. However I hear the phone version relatively doesn't work ok.

Yeah, Vita3K is still a little rough around the edges from what I can tell. It's been a learning experience though, and I've managed to work through most issues. I'd hate to try and run it on my phone though. My phone is fairly rubbish
