which emulator should i use to play ps vita games. i tried a few popular ones but the game would just always crash.

Vita emulation in general is still fairly wonky, I think sporadic crashes are just going to be a part of the experience for now.

I never really looked into alternatives all that much and just stuck by the repo recommended Vita3K.
Not perfect by any means and it's usually best to consult their compatibility list - some games for that system are just not emulatable to any consistent degree currently - but it's been doing alright for me so far.

You tried a few popular emulators for Vita? I don't think it exists other emulator than Vita3k :O

Vita3K is the only one in my mind.
It's not perfect and it has tons of issues, but it plays some games pretty well such as Gravity Rush.
tho if you are asking about android, you should try Vita3K ZX.
it's better than the official android port.

Vita 3K is the only real option. Games can be unstable and have missing functionality (for instance, Soul Sacrifice Delta softlocks if you try to use online functionalities, Muramasa will crash during the tutorial unless the game is up to date).

Sadly you really need to test games on your own.

I think they said that Vita3k works better from PC. Vita3k is not good on Android ATM.

That's likely. I haven't tried Vita3k on mobile, but as development is spotty, mobile is probably not a priority at the moment.

well i definately think there was some other one. which was terrible.

Yeah the Vita is a finicky bastard.

Your options are basically use 3k and deal with middling compatibility or get a real Vita.
Not worth the money from the looks of it. Had plenty potential.

Ya even on Linux Vita3K is wonky at the best of times, and this is on a good, stable Linux build.
And alternatives? Ohhhhh buddy, if those are on Windows you might want to get your system a high-dose STD shot because, aside from Vita3K most if not all others are malware-infected or Trojan installers ::sailor-embarrassed

If you're trying to emulate PS Vita games specifically, the best option currently available is Vita3K. It’s the only PS Vita emulator that’s actively being developed and is capable of running commercial Vita titles, though it’s still experimental and not every game works perfectly unfortunately.

Honestly you would be better off buying a legit Vita, getting an SD2Vita card adapter so you can use a legit SD card, mod it, and load it up.

Well, since the OP didn't specify the mode of playing, I strongly recommend getting a Playstation TV. I grabbed one last year for 50€. They usually go a little higher, but for sure you won't have issues getting one for around 70-80€, and that's cheaper than a Vita.
