I’ve stayed away from this thread, since no matter what, people on this forum HATE the Switch 2. I don’t like many of its decisions and the way the Nintendo company is run either, but people HATE IT.
I kinda want to be happy about this. It’s still on that cost saving game key card, which sucks and only benefits the publisher since they have to spend next to no money to produce copies, but I like that it’s finally here. People in the thread have brought up Virtua Quest, and that game never made any sense to me. Even if its intention was to introduce Nintendo’s audience to Virtua Fighter… it’s bad at doing that. This is the first, full, fun, and accessible Virtua Fighter experience to folks whom only have a Nintendo console. I don’t forsee it doing well, since it’s had very little marketing and I just don’t think Nintendo fans care about this property for a variety of reasons, but I’m happy to see it.
Plus, a correct me if I’m wrong, this makes the second portable Virtua Fighter game? The only other that I can imagine would be 5 running on the Steam Deck. And if you wanted to be pedantic, you could say every single other Virtua Fighter can run on the Steam Deck. Still, this is the first time a Virtua Fighter has been fully marketed as a portable title! That’s pretty exciting, if you ask me!

Edit: God dammit. I thought this game only got a Master System release.
