Vimm's Lair and the ESA

As for vimm's ... just check it, and it's perfectly working ??
Its working.

Its just that most of its collection had to be removed, per the agreement.

Except the download links for the Roms are dead. There's a small selection of games that didn't get taken down, but for the most part, its dead Jim.

Must be lucky ... I made 2 quick test ... working

There's a lot to be said for having a barrier to entry. Making things as simple as one click can invite large groups. But yea thanks youtube... I really don't like the ESA as an organization. They're doing nothing to help video games and want to see the industry go the way of movies, without any understanding of the mediums interaction. But even with film there's stuff thats just not sold or available. Preservation is truly in the hands of the fans and as new fans are introduced to hobbies and mediums, they just can't know all the unwritten rules.

Having these spaces is important. Don't forget to back up what you have.

Are we talking about the same shit ???

anyway ... wont make more testing ... i do believe you guys ;)

Too bad the Nintendo games has been taken down.

Blame youtubers not shutting the fuck up
I rightfully blame YouTubers for a lot more than that, like killing the retro gaming market in Japan. The super potato stores, once a haven for retro gaming, have become some of the worst places imaginable to shop and the whole Akihabara hype has been nothing but awful for the locals.

But yeah vimm‘s lair definitely got overexposed by people who don’t know proper piracy etiquette. I’m putting more of the blame on YouTubers because their reach is so massive.

Some downloads are missing. Seems like they brought back some of the Nintendo stuff surprisingly enough. Unless they somehow survived the purge.

Yes! Damn tourists! >:(
I swear those dumb foreigners got me on my good way to become a Japanese nationalist, and I’m not even Japanese.
