There are probably more I'm forgetting, but for now, I mention these.

For game series I've finished... now that is rather hard. I finished the Dark Souls Trilogy numerous times, the 4 Mega Man Zero games, the main line Metal Gear Solid games (minus MSX 1 & 2, Ac!d, and Rising), and the Digital Devil Saga duology. Right now I'm working towards finishing Persona 5 Royal and then I'll be done with the series not counting the spin offs Q and Dancing all night.

As for series I didn't finish:
Classic Mega Man because Mega Man 7's final boss, and Mega Man & Bass is too hard.

Mega Man X because of X6 and X7.

Edit: I would add Classic DOOM but ever so often new content gets released. I beat the original releases of DOOM I & II, TNT, and Plutonia but not the later releases like SIGIL 1 & 2, No Rest For the Living, and Legacy of Rust.

And I'm not going to play Master Levels of DOOM II. Arguably the worst of classic DOOM.

Ive clocked a lot, but the ones I remeber absolutly decimating the fondest are :
Animal crossing, not to brag but I've paid off several (fictional) houses.
Earthbound, Mothe 1 and Mother 3
i would play runs over and over again where I just put new oc's for character names and bamn new playthrough. I was a very bored child. I loved watching the story progress and change over games.
Also megaman battle network games, I was in love with the concept of being able to wander the net like Megaman did. And Ill play the multiple versions together to try and spot version differences.
I also enjoyed clocking the sequel series too, I loved them so much I bought the art books.
Ahh, How'd I almost forget Chibi robo! I loved him so much I even own bad Zip lash even if its just for the cute amiibo. (I think it was actually cheaper to buy it with Zip lash than without)

It depends on the perspective, for example I consider SH 1 to 4 canon and I already finished them, as well as RE 1 to Code Veronica.

From other sagas I don't think I'll finish all of them because they have releases that don't interest me like BotW, or the next DK bananza.

Those endurance races in Gran Turismo are insane.

I definitely know I've finished every Fire Emblem game.
Pokemon (aside from Ranger games)
Shining Force
Super Robot Wars
Suikoden
Mother
Wild Arms
Star Ocean
Silent Hill

I still haven't played a few entries from FF, DQ, Zelda, Tales, and some other long running series.

Ace Attorney. Got desperate enough for new shit that I sought out a bunch of fan games. Contempt of Court is HIGHLY recommended.

Also, Metal Gear, God of War, Danganronpa, Castlevania, Uncharted, the GOOD Arkham games, Kingdom Hearts (regretfully) and Bioshock. I'd almost say RGG in general, too, but they're still coming out with new shit.

Pretty sure it's none for me. It'd likely be impossible since I was always 1-2 console generations behind everyone else. Not that it really bothered me. The upside was dirt cheap secondhand games. Of course, past the PS3/360/Wii era this is no longer the case. Stupid digital only future. XD

Most probable series for me to finish in the future is Etrian Odyssey. No new entries means I can slowly catch up. I'm halfway through 5 and then all of Nexus to go. That's still like 150 hours though. Maybe I'll be done before 2030?

it is a spin off game, but contains much of the gameplay found in mainline mega man entries. i have never played the game and know nothing about it but i desperately am trying to come across as knowledgeable on the subject and also anything in general
its okay we are here to make new friends

Fable, Rayman, Dark Souls and Jak and Daxter are the only ones that spring to mind, really.
Classic Megaman until 11 came along. I'm also pretty sure I've beaten at least one version of every Harry Potter tie-in game.

Funny you say Kingdom Hearts regretfully. I was on my way to complete the series until Re:coded and Dream Drop Distance released. I really didn't like those 2.

i was very surprised to discover a week or two ago that there was a full wario land game on home consoles, on the nintendo wii
i had never heard of it or played it - i thought wario world was the farthest wario had traveled on home consoles
Wario Land Shake It (or Shake Dimension) it's a beautiful game, nice art and animation, good music, if you like Wario Land series it's the last one they did.

Recently, Growlanser. And that's about it I think...
The thing is that most of the games I played kept releasing more entries and I can't keep up with the hardware requirements. For example Ys(Ys IX is as far as I can go), fatal frame(no wii), fire emblem(no switch), I could say I completed Xenosaga, but I cannot keep going for the whole xeno universe.

I think for me it's only the Pikmin games, Dark Souls, Devil May Cry, Ace Attorney and Metal Gear Solid (If we're not counting the spin-off/non-canon games) where I've played and beaten every game in the series. A lot of game series usually end up losing me at some point the more they go on, like Dark Souls 2 was such a disappointment for me that I genuinely held off on DS3 for a while until I heard Miyazaki was in charge of it (I'll be honest though; I don't think DS3 is particularly amazing either lol).
