Video games that let you play other video games, inside the game (gameception??)

The Original Animal Crossing allowed you to play NES games.
Metroid: Zero Mission allowed you to play a port of NEStroid.
If you find the secret area in Celeste, you can play Celeste Classic.
Puyo Puyo Box contained ports of the original Puyo Puyo and Puyo Puyo Tsu for the Arcade/Genesis.
The Legend of Dark Witch Renovation allows you to change the style of the gsme after unlocking the old style which perfectly replicates the Original 2014 experience. this is due to both games utilizing the same engine as each other.

It's been a while, but I'm pretty sure that Always Sometimes Monsters had an arcade and you were required to play a game to pass a story sequence.

Hypnospace Outlaw also has the Enforcer minigame.
(I fucking love Hypnospace Outlaw and I can't wait for Dreamsettler).

This is something that will never come back. When they discovered they could sell these games back to you for 10 bucks a month it was all over.

In Castlevania - Dracula X Chronicles on PSP you could unlock the original Rondo of Blood, and Symphony of the Night by finding them in the game as pick-ups.

I always thought this was a really neat way of unlocking them because it kinda looks like the character is picking up the actual game boxes.

In Nocturne, you can play Puzzle Boy and if you complete it you're rewarded with a Magatama.

The Dreamcast game Kita e: White Illumination has a hidden shoot'em up called Guardian Wing.

Ratchet and Clank Going Commando I think has a ship based game.

Up Your Arsenal has you collect game cartridges to play 2.5D platform action segments.

all or most of the newer wolfenstein games have the classic version somewhere in the game, and i know ffxv has a playable arcade cabinet in there. .hack might be the most famous example of playing a game within a game

Danganronpa 2’s second chapter has you investigate a murder by playing a video game and learning about it

Dunno if it counts but in DK64 you have to play the arcade DK game as part of a mission
