I don’t know if it’s ever been officially confirmed but as a musician it always sounded to me like it’s playing the wrong instrument and/or missing effects. For example if you arrange a guitar part in midi and then change the instrument to a piano it may sound like total crap. How no one caught this before release is a different question but I’m fairly certain this wasn’t what it was supposed to sound like originally. And this peak of a song
I really like that OST but the demo only having the sound effects with a reverb is much better.I don’t know if it’s ever been officially confirmed but as a musician it always sounded to me like it’s playing the wrong instrument and/or missing effects. Talking about epically unfitting soundtracks, I give you intelligent qube, aka kurushi.
Great game, but the soundtrack feels like it should be in a game like shadow of the colossus instead. I’m not complaining though.
Ngl playing the demo without the music, just the sound of the inescapable cubes rolling towards you totally freaked me out as a kid. It felt like a horror game at the time so I’m thankful for the epic score by Takayuki Hattori who also did several Godzilla movies which explains the vibes.I really like that OST but the demo only having the sound effects with a reverb is much better.
