Did they make this beautiful game using only Genesis raw power not a super fx chip or using supercomputers like they did for donkey long country? if so, wow those graphics really pop out nd colors. Imagine if this game came out when the Genesis was new like in 1989.

the game came out 7 yrs after the system was out but imagine just imagine if this was the launch title:

They used a technique called Vector Piece Animation to make this game, hence they called it Vectorman in the end. Alot of ppl hated 2 though, and thought it was a step down from 1, and it was way more difficult, and not in a good way.

It just couldn't have been a launch title. There used to be a world of difference between early games on a system and those that came at the end, for a variety of reasons. The tech to make Vectorman wasn't ready in 1989. Early SNES games don't look nearly as good as late SNES games either.

Haven't beat either Vectorman 1 or 2, but I still enjoyed them. Definitely some of the best looking Genesis titles.

Both vector man games BOP!
There's a neat patch in the repository that give #1 a save and weapon select. It's neat.

Great game and an absolute classic. I admittedly prefer the first one however.

As a kid i had both 1 and 2 and 1 i could never beat but 2 i could , its much shorter and probably for the better seeing as how 1 just swaps color pallets and enemy placement on alot of levels

I found a whole making of doc about it guys:

You guys say tht the tech to make this wasnt availble in 1989 yet the console launched in 1989 so how so? do you mean the superocmputers used for rendering purposes werent available then or do u mean they were but just were expensive?

Also, isnt it odd how the genesis came out two yrs before the snes yet it had better or t least equal graphics to it as shown by this game?

what I ment however saying is if somehow this was a launch game imgine how impressive the genesis would be that it would maybe force nintendo to actually put better hardwar ein the snes when it release dit tow yrs later? dont ya think?

BTW, how many of you feel that it could have been a saturn game or not look out of place on it?

Honestly, I knew that game as an unlockable game of Sonic Gems Collection if you had 7 hours of play of the compilation and as a game of Vectorman 2 it is not bad but it could have been better.

Beat the first one on Sonic Mega Collection Plus back in the day...or one of the SEGA classic bundles? Can't remember. Took me a while to get into, but I ended up enjoying it quite alot. Was quite short from what I remember

vectorman
not to be confused with
