This patch was made by SkyBladeCloud. Both discs are merged into a single bin, I can't change that. A second patch that fixed a crash when recruiting Yumei was also applied. Thanks to JaviRPG for getting the patch and fix from SkyBladeCloud after it was lost. Notes; For the most part the game is in Spanish but there are some untranslated lines here and there. So about 97% Spanish. Some lines aren't perfectly synched and come up a little late, but nothing major.

Ah!

Can someone tell me roughly how long the game is? The last RPG I finished was Final Fantasy VII on PSX.

There are people who haven't played it yet, so you shouldn't give "Spoilers" about the game.
In my experience, Valkyrie Profile takes less time to finish than Final Fantasy VII.

While it took me about 25-31 hours to finish VP; FF7 took 50-58 hours on the Playstation 1 (without fast-forwarding or save states), but using a guide and playing without rushing (doing side quests and some grinding).

Isn't it suppose to be 2 discs? Hmmm.

VP2 is more a prequel to VP1, which i don't recall getting very far in; Otherwise, atmosphere and story for VP1 is great; Though it's kinda disheartening when you realize it's a bunch of stories of people who die to become Einherjar so after a while it's kinda depressing.

VP1 has an underlying plot where if you get her seal down low enough (under 12%?) she'll remember her own life/death and realize she's being used by Odin, and the game has a very different ending.

As for the battle system, characters mapped to positions/buttons on the controller and they get a number of 'actions' which if you time sending their attacks right you can do multiple hits on enemies to get higher scores which can result in more XP/items.

Lastly after you level up your Einherjar enough you should be sending 1-2 of them per chapter, which they then act as generals in battle. A VN type style updates of events that happen in Valhalla.

Other than that it's a bit of a grind.

Any and all mods, whether translations or enhancements, for this fantastic PS1 classic (or its PSP version) are warmly welcomed!

Valkyrie Profile is a game with good gameplay, a fantastic soundtrack, charismatic characters, good replayability, more than one ending (although the most important one practically requires a guide), post-game content, good graphics for its time, and profound themes (the value of life, honor, redemption, obsession, loyalty, love)... In my opinion, simply epic.

It's been a long time since I've seen an initiative like this. Congratulations to everyone who collaborated on its production, promotion, and availability! Thank you!

I will always be rooting for new mods.

"To my side! My noble Einherjar!"

Hi Spike, Thank you very much to share this game and the Spanish translation of the game by the community, although it is not 100% because some text is still in English, but the attempt was made, at least it is playable from start to finish, well if it has any error or random tick that prevents it from being completed.

I haven’t played VP1 yet, but Valkyrie Profile 2 is mind-blowingly unique and fun and beautiful.

Some of Tri-Aces ideas are confusing but there’s such a clear sense of brilliance and effort in the design and programming even for the ideas that aren’t perfect. (I mean also in Star Ocean 2, etc, not only VP2.)
