(Unofficial) RGT Mascot

yes, please. tell me anything and everything that you want.

I think the head and upper body and pose looks great, but I get the impression that her torso is a bit too small. Maybe it is the hips that are too large? I don't know, I'm not an anatomy expert myself. I'm learning too. I know that's she's leaning in a bit and that creates a shortening effect, but that's the feeling I got.

she's supposed to be leaning forward. but i don't draw that kind of perspective very often. i can always give it another shot. sometimes it takes a few tries to get the perfect drawing.

Is her catchphrase "Retro does what current don't ? "
no, but that is pretty good. i don't know if she has a catchphrase, but here's the one that i came up with for her: "I spend my days surfing the net, looking for games old and new, and good times to share with others."

Yeah, its a difficult pose in the first place. And there's nothing particularly wrong about the way you did it. I got the meaning of it, so it is effective.

Here's an idea that I found online. Not that you need to do it exactly like this but it is an idea.

thanks for the reference pic. i need to look for a collection of these for future reference.
any ways; here's an updated sketch that i made between my last response to you and now:

I see, she has a very exaggerated hip/waistline. That complicates things. Most of the references have close to normal proportions and they may not apply for what you want to go for. I'm trying to think of a short character with exaggerated proportions that could be used as a reference.

eh, its just part of my drawing style. i can usually control it to an extent, but if my stress levels are too high, its just going to happen. i do have a short character that has a bit of an exaggerated figure in my gallery though.

See for example, this anime girl is pretty curvy and busty, and in a similar pose but you can get a hint of her back and torso in the image. It all depends on the angle of the "shot", but there will generally be a suggestion of a torso unless the angle is straight on.

Hopefully this is helpful and I'm not over complicating things for you.

yeah, i think i went for too much of a straight on view point. i've slacked off a bit on drawing over the past few days; and the cold weather isn't helping me draw either. i do thank you for your feedback though. i'll probably just go on ahead with the second version of the drawing; i might end up going overboard if i keep trying too much. and, i can have this drawing and then a future drawing to show off some more improvement in my drawing skills. i did this with one of my own original characters in my gallery.

Interesting tips (also the character is from a show called “my dress up darling” if anyone was wondering)

While I prefer profile posts for sharing stuff, having all RGT-tan art in one place isn't so bad either.
Here's Moonlight RGT-tan once again.

The tiny yet incredible detail like the hair, blinking and breathing. You're going extra mile with that animation!
Respect to you ::bigboss

How did she catch that fish with a Dreamcast Fishing Rod? Look how proud she caught that Bass!

RGT-tan can do anything if she puts her mind into it!
Holy crap!
I wish I had seen this earlier

This is so good, i like the sub-pixel animation

I'll have to check it out then ::agree

Good anime. Game designer gets sucked into his main badguy into another world, so he's trying to play off being the demon lord to his summoned subjects and people so they don't realize he's faking it a bit like OverLord.

Season 1 is good, slow and fun to watch. Season 2 is a disappointment that felt like 3 seasons were jammed into one to close it off (aside from art style changes with huge downgrades, and different voice actors)
