it's Turrican 2: The Final Fight but Universal Soldier Version and the original movie wasn't too bad.

Used to have this, complete with scruff cardboard box (most Megadrive releases in UK were plastic cases). Sorta like an easier Turrican 2 with one or two bugfixes here and there, but also some curious changes elsewhere (due to the Universal Soldier license, more than likely).

I'd love to see some ROMhacker/s convert this into a proper version of Turrican 2 though, shouldn't be a lot of work outside re-inserting the shmup levels - those will be the killer. Improved music would be great, too -- but I do personally like the MD version of 'The Great Bath' (underwater theme) better than the Amiga original.

I remember reading the TCRF article on this game. The writer (jokingly) got annoyed over all the blood puddles; which didn't even exist in Turrican 2, BTW.
