That's right, what are some games you think everyone loves but you feel like the only one that hates it? What are some games you feel even scared of sharing your opinion with others because just saying anything negative about it would make you crucified?
I will start

I can't stand any metroid or castlevania games, actually i can't stand any metroidvania game. I just think they are boring and clearing the levels feel like a big chore. Too much backtracking and it's so tiring seeing the same enemies again and again.

To be honest i'm with you on this one, while i have nothing against metroid or castlevania games themselves i definitely feel like metroidvania is a bit of an overrated genre, like half of the indie-games i see on steam have the "metroidvania" tag too...

I like what I played of Castlevania SotN, the worst thing I can say about it is the Game Over screen lasts way, waaaay too long.

I feel Gacha games should all be panned on principle. I think it's common consensus by now that systems that encourage predatory methods of gambling in video games are a net negative, but gacha games seem to be getting a pass? I don't get it.

I usually assume that the games that don't click with me but resonate with others must have qualities that I am somehow unable to either see or appreciate, so I don't think there are many (if any) games out there that deserve hatred.
Now, insipid or exploitative industry trends? Pandering and/or manipulative marketing/social media bullshit and general publisher fuckery? Hell yeah that deserves all the hate ever.

But I suppose to give an actual answer... I mean, I found FF7 Remake incredibly bloated, obnoxious and way too anime trope heavy, to the point that I couldn't finish it and found its highly positive reception utterly confusing. Fun combat though! Does that count?

Call Of Duty. I'd say it ruined about 2 generations of people. Shooter games used to be cool and now they are literally the same thing over and over. Shoot guy 1 and move on. No having to collect keys to test your skill and beat the level. Nothing creative like Doom or even Turok.
Everyone hates Call of Duty, even Call of Duty fans

Minecraft, from the way people treated the game in 2016 you’d think it was a glory hole of wonder and it was just kinda ok.

It’s like Gang Beasts for me, a game you play with friends for about an hour before you log off.

Elden Ring was just another Dark Souls 1 rehash. But Souls fans have pea sized brains so they ate that shit up and now FromSoftware will continue to keep making the same game over and over again and it will just keep getting worse and worse with each entry.

The Fifa of Shooter games lol

Also I'm gonna say Devil Survivor. I went in after hearing every Megaten fan praise it like it's the greatest thing since sliced bread and what I got was one of the grindiest, most tedious games in the franchise. The first boss is grossly over levelled for where you are in the game and to beat it, you'll be subjected to hours worth of replaying the same map to get duplicates until you have enough to withstand it. Battles afterwards weren't much better either.

After that is Kirby's Adventure/Nightmare in Dreamland. It's the second game in the franchise and all but it is boring. I don't hate it though. Only reason I'm talking about that game is because everyone already hates Dream Land 2 and Squeak Squad, so anything more becomes redundant.

Every Sonic game on Wii sucks ass. Secret Rings and Black Knight are 90% mission bloat and 10% Sonic game (and controls are terrible), Sonic Unleashed's motion controls make the werehog a nightmare to use since the same input for grabs is the attack, also the mission bloat for day stages. Last but not least is Sonic Colors, where the level design is godawful and completely inconsistent. Doesn't even make use of the Wisps most of the time, always astounds me that this game still has fans yet Sonic Adventure 1 has taken a beating in fan reception. Haven't played the Wii version of Sonic Riders ZG though.

The Last of Us. As much as the story is compelling, I think the game feels like I'm controlling characters that are running around in the mud.

Also, Spec Ops: The Line. I felt like the narrative and twists, while interesting, also kinda made the game feel like it's up it's own ass a bit.

I dunno jfc, the open world feels so separate from the tightly-paced, stellar map design of the earlier games (stellar for the most part) that if anything I'd argue that Elden Ring is becoming further and further removed from some of the aspects that made the earlier Souls games so memorable. You only need look to the battle royale inspired Nightreign for proof.

No lies were spoken here

Skyrim, gta, skyrim, Minecraft. Elderts Scroll 5, Breath of the wild, ESV.
Did I mention skyrim?

I don't hate open world games, really. I actually like Morrowind a lot, and games like Tears of the Kingdom, palworld, even oblivion. So it's not like the game isn't for me. I've tried gears of war 1 a couple of times, I've never finished it, but I don't like shooting games that much, so when someone says GoW1 is a great game, my mind doesn't wonder -But, why?

Skyrim however, I've tried it after every re-release, or major fan patch, and can't remember what happens after Whiterun.

Maybe I'm exaggerating a little bit, but I seriously can't remember the name of any npc or city, but I can draw a Morrowind map from memory, with towns, intended progression path, and enemy zones. Gosh, I love those weird towns.

All jokes aside, Undertale and Deltarune

I have ZERO idea why these games are so popular, absolutely none. I just can't fathom why anyone likes or enjoys these two games in any capacity. They're basically just Earthbound/Mother games if they were made by a bunch of tumblr users.

As someone whose all time favourite game is Devil Survivor let me jump to it's defence. If by the "first" boss you mean Beldr he is pretty hard but the problem with him was never that he was overlevelled just that you can only attack him the MC but after you get the demons with the righ racial skills for your MC's party he is beatable really fucking hard but once you understand how he works you can beat him, if by first boss you meant Wendigo he was fucking piss easy to me just attack him with fire spells with your party member with the highest magic and he is beaten pretty easily (be it the MC or Yuzu). I do agree that a lot of battles can get repetitve especially the rescue missions but the reason people praise Devil Survivor so much is it's characters and routes, most Devil Survivor fans including myself agree that the 2nd games encounters and combat are better but what made the 1st game so special was how great the chatacters were and how all the routes had actual nuance instead of the usual Megaten affair of chaos bad, law bad, neutral good.

Honestly, it was probably a ton of people’s first RPG ( it was mine ) and it’s got a decent narrative.

No I mean Wendigo. Level 17 this early in the game is diabolical.

I think Undertale is an incredible achievement. It was initially developed by just a couple of people in their teens. The music is tremendous, and very memorable. It has a nice mix of comedy, heartfelt moments and generally well- paced story telling. The primary creator of the game first got into game dev by modifying Earthbound ROM's, hence the similarities. And the first 2 parts of Deltarune, about 6 hours of content, were released for free. It's a game I would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone.

But hey, that and a fiver will buy you a cup of coffee.
