Granted, we had apprenticeship type deals, like shadowing farmers and mechanics...Wal-Mart already hires and trains teenagers. What are you getting out of this? Early management training or something?

Im a security guard at a hospital on the weekends and holidays, i work the 12 hour shift. Since i work at a hospital i have to talk with the general public both patients and relatives to make sure they dont wander or dont bother the personnel too much.

I hate my job i always leave tired and angry and i have to drink to not fight my family because my mood is terrible after a day of work and drinking helps with that. I also always miss holidays like christmas and days like birthdays since everyone celebrates those on a saturday or sunday.
When i read your post i thought you had something like that going on but then it was just an hour long shift and that was so funny but it also pissed me off.

My HS had an apprenticeship program if you were going into a trade like carpentry or welding, but I certainly never had the opportunity to do anything resembling an internship until I was 3/4s into my university degree. no, it was optional, its just my grandparents pushed me but I negotiated after figuring out I wouldn't be paid.

What im trying to say is
Try to man up cause it'll get worse in a few years unless you can land a job where you dont talk to the public or to your coworkers or to anyone really maybe start investing in neetpoints.

My grandfather has a really good job at martin trucks center, and since I'm pretty tech literate, It might work. but not sure.
