Hiroshi Iuchi, director of Radiant Silvergun and Ikaruga, has recently explained in his log that he is going to still develop Ubusuna as reported by Automaton.
Unfortunately all the stuff he did while being in M2 is intellectual property of the aforementioned company so a reboot in graphical and musical sides will be needed; and a lot more is said in his personal blog, Video Genome Materials but I encourage reading the Automaton article as well as Hiroshi Iuchi's updates on his webpage.
P.S: Would this update count as indie now that Mr. Iuchi is out of M2?
P.S (2): I have faith on this going good, maybe we could end having something close to Earthion. But the game has been in development hell by the internal work culture of M2...
