I'm glad to see that they have at least (and at last) stopped trying to paint piracy as thievery. When buying something doesn't mean you're owning it, piracy cannot be theft (they'll die trying to make it look like it is, nonetheless).
Legally you never owned anything. For example when you pay for a land you purchase the right to use the land in the legal framework that your government allows you. Do you think you even own the house you built? Government also owns your house and in certain conditions has the ultimate power to use your house in the way they want. By the English language don't let words like "my" and "your" confuse you. Legal language and facts are very different than what common people comprehend and believe. Your government even owns you and it's not "dystopian science fiction" lol. Your government has any right they want to do whatever they want with you. By the moment you born and stay in the country you automatically agree the legal acknowledgement that you accept that your government can do whatever they want to you and it means you obey laws no questions asked. They can invent laws to label you as criminal and terminate your life with the death penalty. Whatever you did before that's recorded, government can "punish you" for what you did 70 years ago even without proof. Governments should be your servants but they are more like a legal terrorist organisation that operates like a mafia lol. Make sure to vote and choose your owner. In that regard the only owner of a product is whatever company owns the product so it means having the copyright and related rights are the actual ownership. For example when you buy a PS5 you don't own PS5, you only have a right to use PS5 in the way Sony allows you. It means Sony and your government can legally force you to stop using PS5 and if you keep using it they can come into a legal agreement to enforce death penalty on you lol. Do you know people are put into jail just because they sell a Nintendo game save file because it breaks unfair trade and related laws lol? You don't own but get a right to use the product legally in the way you accepted Terms of Use and/or any legal agreement owner of the product asked you before you made the payment. The agreement is made by the act of paying money or any other valuables that can act as a currency that the company sets. Before agreement made company can set the Terms of Use and the act of paying is automatic agreement of you accept Terms of Use therefore you have to obey it, if not you are responsible for your actions unless what happened is beyond your free will but it doesn't mean legally you won't be forced to compensate for loses. In that regard companies are free to change Terms of Use and related legal agreements any time they want and by continuing to use the product you agree with the changes that has made because by keep using it you are legally responsible for using the product. Because of this company has ultimate freedom to decide how you use their product and they can decide you shouldn't use their product anymore. So in Ubisoft context, by continuing to use a product they terminated you will be treated as a pirate and will be punished as such. For example X game is terminated but you uploaded a video of yourself playing the game with enough proof that you played the game after terminations then Ubisoft has legal allowance to sue you and you'll be punishes for using a company's product illegally lol. I'm afraid world doesn't work in a family setting or an innocent school settings that actually laws are bended in favor of kids' to prevent crime rate getting higher by ending personal life of kids by limiting their future to crime by preventing them from getting legal jobs. Real life is so harsh when you are an adult and you will be wronged even if when you are right and you have a right to get whatever you are entitled to but those who have more power over you has the power to bend the rules in the way they want so get used to it or be the person who has the power lol.No this is not how things always were. Not sure where this idea came from but you absolutely used to own the things you purchased in the past. The idea that some corporation could dictate how you use something you purchased used to be some laughable dystopian science fiction idea.

Well I hope I don't bother anyone with my sense of humor and the way I tried to add all visible colours into my posts for fairness and harmony lol.Everybody: please let's try to keep politics and stuff out of this.
There are very few topics in the world that are as black-and-white as this one and we don't need to overcomplicate it being bringing in the whole grey scale.
Don't worry, it was just a general guideline more than anything.Well I hope I don't bother anyone with my sense of humor and the way I tried to add all visible colours into my posts for fairness and harmony lol.
I do play some of their games, I just never buy them LMAO.Ubisoft just keeps giving me reasons not to play their games.
Humor no, but that if taken the wrong way, could be seen as a borderline political rantWell I hope I don't bother anyone with my sense of humor and the way I tried to add all visible colours into my posts for fairness and harmony lol.

Yep. Even when I just sit here and enjoy eating Nacho Cheese Doritos™ to governments I may look like a terrorist and when I talk it can sound like a KMFDM song lol. But in reality I just dad joking around with a mix of facts here and there without even being a father before lol.Humor no, but that if taken the wrong way, could be seen as a borderline political rant
Fair point, and I don't believe in censorship in any way, shape, or form. But some people would read that and take it seriously and fly off and rant back about it without taking the time to find out if it was satire, humor, or serious. That's all I am saying.Yep. Mhm you are right but cannot move fast without breaking, cannot do what you want without breaking hearts and by just breathing you can offend people but then it became a "you problem" of people who offended and it make me remember this meme lol:Fair point, and I don't believe in censorship in any way, shape, or form. Reminds me of the exit DOS prompt on DOOM 2, promising the complete trashing of your PC if you had pirated the game XD"Thank you for using our services, and we're sad to see you go! We noticed you didn't uninstall our products. Your computer will explore in 10 seconds, and we will kill your family".
— Ubisoft, probably.
It's not the same thing overall because of the technical particularities that software development imposes on legal reasoning (sharing software necessarily means producing a copy, let's say... it's not like sharing a physical book with my friend or from a library), which makes intellectual property still a "property" at the end of the day. The "raison d' être" of the state (which is raised on stolen land, at least in the Americas) and of law. I'm not disagreeing with you, though. Just adding to it.I'm glad to see that they have at least (and at last) stopped trying to paint piracy as thievery.
For hundred of years the most-accepted definition of "stealing" was to take someone else's property so that they'd no longer have it, which is simply not the case with (software) piracy.
Yeah, and Ubisoft trying to pull Albanian virus stuff but at least Albanian virus is so cute I would even delete my whole Doctor Who episodes for it but when it comes to Ubisoft my reverse psychology is triggered to do mischief that's up to no good at all lol:Reminds me of the exit DOS prompt on DOOM 2, promising the complete trashing of your PC if you had pirated the game XD
Aside from the protagonist's hair style, it is a great game. Especially Persian dub is pretty cool and fitting. Gameplay is fire too.new prince of persia sidescroller looks great but lmao Ubisoft

I'm glad the Persian language didn't get lost in the wind of sand even after I was stuck in a mirror for 2000 years and thus had to experience many falls and rises of the Tower of Babels behind the reflection of the same old insanity in different colors lol.Aside from the protagonist's hair style, it is a great game.
