Two days left for Nintendo's new generation console !!

This release hurts me so much. Before the Switch 1 the last Home Nintendo Console I owned was the GameCube and I only played that very rarely. I was a PS2 fanatic, then a 360 and Xbone owner. Then I started getting tired of gaming...it was probably from my depression, but I just couldn't seem to get into any games at the time. So I traded my Xbox in for a Switch because Sw/Sh was coming out and found my love for gaming again.

I loved my Switch so much to me it was a perfect console. Now all the garbage that's going on with the Switch 2 has me depressed again. I have been so excited for this console. I could care less for the "high" price tag. I owned my Switch 1 for 6 years and never had any problems so whatever I payed for it was repayed in the joy I got from it.

But now it's just one controversy after another, with the new TOS saying you don't own the console you're just paying for a license to use their equipment and they can brick you for whatever they want. I was more than ready to be a Nintendo shill again, but I'll just stick with my Steam Deck for now. I hope the 2 does so bad we get Duskbloods ported to other platforms, that's the only game in truly excited for at this point.

Tldr; I'm a Sad Panda

One of the weirdest, most confusing console launches ever. From everyone getting hyped when it was revealed, to people getting angry immediately after when they saw the prices like $80 Mario Kart World, to pre-orders getting delayed to an unspecified time, to pre-orders being a complete cluster once they went live, to the different kinds of physical game products (Code in Box, Game-Key Card, Switch 2 Edition), etc.

What a mess.

Honestly, I think the Switch 2 will be a success—but not in a good way. It’s going to sell, no doubt about that, but mostly because people are too invested to back out now. Nintendo knows their fanbase will show up no matter what, so they keep pushing overpriced hardware, repackaged content, and bare-minimum improvements.
This isn't like the Wii U, which failed because it missed the mark. The Switch 2 might succeed because it plays it safe and leans on hype, nostalgia, and brand loyalty. But long-term, that kind of success just burns people out. It's one more step toward a gaming industry that cares more about monetizing habits than making great games. At some point, people will stop caring—and that’s when the real crash happens.

I can't wait to see the look on Nintendo when nobody buys there Switch 2.Because who of sane mind would buy a Console that you pretty much don't own and that can be Bricked by Nintendo at will.I heard you can't even play your dam games on it when you don't regularly agree to there Contracts. The Demon.... I meant Scalpers who bought all of the Switch 2 Consoles hoping to make a quick buck by scamming Families and People with Less Money will see a bad day Happening and I say good let those Demons In human Skin know what pain feels like.
If you Want a Nintendo Console buy a Wii/Wii U or a Gamecube or a N64 or Buy some Handhelds Like GBA or NDS or even a GBC better than to support that evil behavior.

Sooo Boring........Same Old Olds....
By now they should have Reallife Mario gfx using UNREAL Engine....

Its like old Xbone when you need to be Online to play and weekly AntiPirate OS updates.
And NO I dont buy any Unhacked Nins.
My OLED PSVita still holdup today with PS varied games.

Its funny reading these negative comments from people who don't own a Switch2, while I'm having a blast playing Mario Kart World! Gaming is doomed indeed LOL

The truth is that I am not interested, my main requirement to consider buying a console is that it must have at least 10 games that really interest me, not to play them for a little while or very occasionally but games that I really have to play them.

Unfortunately since the Wii U there are not more than 5 games that call my attention and in the first Switch the same thing happened and besides the hybrid qualities of the console never interested me, if I had it I would always have it in dock mode.

When they announced the Switch 2 and I saw that they repeated that hybrid format I was not excited and they have not released enough games so i'm indifferent.

Thats fair. I also was not interested in the hybrid format of the original Switch, which was why I never bought it. But after missing out on all the great Nintendo released games on the original Switch, I regretted my decision. So I bought the Switch 2 with the expectation that Nintendo will continue to release high quality games. Given their current track record, I don't see that changing this generation. So far Mario Kart World has been a lot of fun, but I can see how some people wouldn't like the mayhem that game has, it can get pretty wild!

We already own the Switch1 and I still have a backlog 300+ games to play with.
My modded Switch have a hack/overclock modes to play handmode if were docked/overclocked to play games at consistent 60fps, so no need to upgrade.
And I dont care the mouse feature that 'll die out quick, to emulate a handicaps, if thats is Fun?!

Lots of Nintendo hate. It's very understandable, although they are not the only ones deserving of scorn in my opinion. Even Valve has said that we don't own our games. Is it bullshit?Absolutely, and also no surprise given our weakening consumer protection laws(at least in the USA). Having less rights with physical games and hardware is unfortunately the next step. Nintendo has become more and more abrasive and generally doesn't respond or react to backlash. If the launch and subsequent first year goes poorly, they may yield a little ground as they did with the 3DS.

The only real ways to affect permanent change with Nintendo or any other company are initiatives like Stop Killing Games that can hopefully get laws changed for more consumer protection concerning the things we buy. I don't think it will work out unfortunately, so voting with your wallet is the next best step. I got a Switch 2 and am enjoying it but I don't begrudge anyone who is either waiting to get one or not getting one at all.

I think until there is a better value, these opinions will remain. They need to start releasing different package deals with pack in titles to cater to different tastes, maybe different colored consoles too. I'm just saying that might help with sales. Maybe drop the price 50-100 dollars.
