The other day while I was looking for a pair of 3.5mm wired earbuds for my phone (and ended up empty-handed as they had USB Type C earbuds and not your typical male 3.5mm ones), I got a pack of cherry Twizzlers. I know a lot of people hate Twizzlers, but I have always swore by them. They're unironically one of my favorite candies and I've had plenty of different flavors (Yes, even the weird Hershey's chocolate flavor lol).

Today, as I continued my earbud search, I saw a pack of "Red Vines". Prior to this, I have never eaten them before in my entire life. Unable to keep my curiosity at bay, I bought them. As I eat these things right now while writing this post, I'm getting a WILDLY different experience compared to "Twizzlers."

While "Twizzlers" have a plasticky texture and are very sweet, "Red Vines" are softer and fruitier. At first, I didn't like the taste of "Red Vines" because I've grown accustomed to the more cough medicine like taste of "Twizzlers". But right now... They're starting to grow on me. In fact, I may just prefer them to "Twizzlers" – which is something I never thought I'd say lol. The only problem is that they're not quite as ubiquitous as "Twizzlers" are (at least in my area).

I'm not terribly fond of either, but if I'm in the mood for some reason and they only have one or the other at the store, I'm not picky. I will say that Twizzlers gets a slight edge for the flavor varieties, though.

Yeah, Red Vines are pretty lacking in the variation department.

I'll admit, they're definitely an acquired taste. I can see why you don't care for them.

Some people swear by Redvines, but I'm a pull-n-peel kind of gal.

Some of my favorite candy

Skittles, M&Ms, or even Haribo is slightly better than any licorice by itself.
