Turn-based RPGs with timing element

Another Crusade is an Indie game that replicates Super Mario RPG's combat but with definitely a higher difficulty. I have it on Steam but didn't get far since it felt like it was expecting you to get constant perfect timed hits to clear bosses.

This looks incredible. I just bought this, thanks for the recommendation. I'm big into challenging timings in a reaction-based RPG. I couldn't be happier to know that with the success of Clair Obscur that we're going to be getting loads of games inspired by it. The more the better.

In Unlimited Saga, in and out of battle your success with various abilities depends on your timing during the reel spins. Here is an example of me trying to defuse treasure chest traps.

The turn-based battles in the game work similar in determining your success with the moves you want to use, etc (though in most cases, if you miss landing on the Level reel you want, you will just end up landing on a less powerful lower level Reel move, so it is not as risky as interacting with traps).

Though not as elaborate as the many entries here, both these games have a "Momentum" mechanic which buff your attacks and spells. Nice story too having played both.
