Sorry, have very vague memory but one was a platformer with graphics along the lines of "MANOS: Hands of Fate" or "Elephantasy."
All I can remember is that it was a platformer and had unconventional secrets in it like a cloud that passes by with a winged shoes/boots item on it.

The other was much like a Jeff Minter game. It was a bullet-hell, shmup with electronic sounds and techo music. Very hard on the eyes as it was extremely flashy.
If I remember correctly the game's title was an acronym.

These two games were relatively easy to find in the early days of digital distribution....

I mean - the games have had nearly a decade of indie (and amateur) titles piled on top of them since.

There rate of games released now is too fast, and on top of the already flooded market with low effort or asset flip games, you now have super fast AI diarrhea on a exponential release making thing even worse. At this rate I'll just go back to playing my old dos and console games and not even bother with new stuff.

You can climb on clouds and find items that allow you abilities like winged shoes make you fly and whatnot. Tons of items to find in the game. However the whole gamemap is filled with items to find that allow you to gain cool powers.

is games from 2000's considered to be old now? i thought they can still be considered to be kinda fresh or probably me being stuck in the past

Since even 2015 lots of things have changed in the world. Since 1900s everything has changed so much and fast the sense of "old" getting narrower and narrow each decade. It's not like not being surprised by ancient swords we could find in castles that were said to be built 1000 years ago and it didn't feel that "old" when the world we lived in was always pretty much the same as much as we heard. Now, when the greatest technology in our life was a black and white TV that soon repleaced with colorful TV with more channels and then, after a few decades the greatest technology is a smartphone we can talk to as it can answer us like a soul of a person was trapped in it and it show us internet search result of what we asked. In this context even cell phones we played the Snake game are so ancient despite you living for 5000 years on this world or for 20 years lololol.

However, sometimes even current new video games make me think they technically old due to careless ancient vision they are developed with. Lacking options as much as a NES game, they are rather developed with elements SNES video games have, the persistent existence of turn-based games and isometric games make me think the sense of old should be left behind but some hold on to a sense of romantic ancient love by ignoring the river of time flowing. Then when a new video game even lacks "pause" feature it makes me want to grab my PC and throw it out of the hole of my building that we can call a "modern cave" by screaming "To the abyss with thee. Thy begetter art a scurvy knave!!!" lololol

A game from 2015 is 10 years old now, from 2005 is 20 years, and so on.
Imagine 1983 NES/Famicom to 2003 PS2, or PS1 1998 to PS3 2008, etc.
