DON'T FORGET TO READ THE READ ME!

Trespasser is part FPS and part survival. You take control of Anne who is on her way to Costa Rica when the plane she is on crashes onto an unknown island. It quickly becomes clear though that you are not alone and must fight your way off this island full of dinosaurs that want you dead.

I had this game as a kid and absolutely loved it. I always loved just tossing stuff around and exploring the different landscapes the game tosses at you. This game was sadly a bit too ambitious for the creators at the time and was shipped unfinished. Even with that though there is a fantastic community around it still making stuff like custom levels and other related stuff for this game.

With this pack you get:

The Main Trespasser Game
Patch 1.1
The Community Edition Patch
A "Quick Load" button on the menu that acts as a level select if you want to replay your favourite levels
The 20th Anniversary Fan Level Accessible From the "Quick Load" Menu

This game has quite the learning curve when it comes to picking up weapons and aiming them just right but if you can get a handle on it then you are in for an experience! Read up on the controls and learn how to do stuff like using shift to fine tune your weapons or holstering an emergency gun you wanna save for later to keep your hand free. Survival!

Enjoy!

It is a super interesting game. Ever read the cutting room floor pages on it HERE?

Lots was cut and the thing you said about the angry enemys are true too but a few was missed! You can find a few curious dinos in one of the levels that only attack you if they get hurt.
Oh you are right, i forgot about those that still have it :D

I watched some Videos that had a lot of it, but i have to look around at cuttin room floor now for myself :)
I wish someone would take the game and bring it to what the devs originally imagined to do.

If someone gets hooked and wants to experience more:
I personally was too lazy to get the Mods and Maps run myself^^
A launcher like they exist foor Doom(2) would be nice.

There a a Spanish version of the game on Internet Archive (https://archive.org/details/jptrespassersp)
It has Text and Voice on Spanish, Can you update and uploaded it with the addon pack this version have?
Sorry to say that it indeed didn't like it. Wouldn't even boot for me. If you find a way to get it working yourself I would love to know!

Without this game there won't be a Half Life 2 as it exists today, so no matter how jank it is and how bad it is, we need to show it some respect boys.
It may be janky, but I can't pretend it's not fun. I've played way worse games. Also Bungie & John Carmack also got ideas from Trespasser. The devs said it would change the gaming landscape, and they were right.

ah this weird ass game where you move the arms separately

My condolences.
is AVGN as a whole not a joke by james
from what i heard james & mike saying the joke is that he gets unreasonably angry about a game
that is at max somewhat bad not end of the known universe bad

This looks like it could have been a Jurassic Park project. Or maybe a FPS Dino Crisis. Either way it looks interesting. Thanks for the upload!
it is Trespasser is a 1998 action-adventure video game developed by DreamWorks Interactive and published by Electronic Arts for Microsoft Windows. The game serves as a sequel to the 1997 film The Lost World: Jurassic Park,

I remember this one, I think it was the first attempt at a UI-less videogame with physically interactive items.

Wonder if it gained a cult following after things like Hand Simulator got popular? Cos I recall it not getting much love in the past due to how weird (and difficult) it could be.

This game really does need to come to VR in some way

Nows your chance!

Thank you! You're not wrong x-x

It is a Jurassic Park project! It's tied into the movies in some way iir. You are welcome too!
Yeah, at the time it was considered canon. The various quotes from Hammond's book that play mid-game have a lot of fun little details for fans of the first two movies.

Plus they actually got Richard Attenborough to come back as Hammond. They spared no expense!

(Except playtesting.)

I just now noticed the "Lost World" logo on the bottom left of the cover art. How embarrassing. Boy is my butt red!!

When I was a child, I remember my older brother playing this title & another one called Nanosaur...

I played this maybe 10 years ago. It was a pretty miserable experience even heavily modded, but it stuck in my head. The final boss was having to use a keypad. I'm curious to see what the community has done with it since then.

watched an amazing lets play of this years ago. idk many other games besides Dead Space that can say that they don't use a traditional HUD and Issac sadly doesn't have huge tits and a neon heart tattoo.

It has its moments, it is really like you are visiting a lost place. The voice overs of John Hammond are awesome.
I can also recommend to map the keys to a better scheme.
I put the arm movement on the right mouse button and shooting on the left, if i remember well.

To get better used to the jumping, the "feed" of her are a pentagon, they did this so it looks like the view goes up and down because she is walking.
That said, you have to take this pentagon into consideration when jumping, as it works better when it is on a edge of that pentagon (or was it a flat? One is better haha).

Oh Bunny Hopping works also and you can speed up insanely, good to run away in later sections.

Edit:
I have still a magazine that presented the game, a living world with the dinosaurs having their daily routine and needs.
It sounded so awesome, sadly they had no time and got rid of all it.
Parts of the code are still in there, the raptors are always set on "angry".

Sadly my big box got destroyed, i miss it, it had this 3D art on it, it just so nice to touch XP

Back in 1998 as a kid, we had just gotten a new PC with a 400 MHz Pentium II and a Voodoo 2 card. This game just released, and it was one of the first games I played on that beast, but it still ran like shit LöL.
But I didn't care, i had too much fun playing around with the physics and ragdolling dinosaurs.

Dont you hate it when your plane just crash on some random island with Dinosaurs?

Always love Dino theme games, will try it later

Also funny how to make extra sure you know the main character is a girl they added a boobs focus. Not a whole body, but just a very HD textured boobs focus when the arm looks like a low poly stick..... lovely detail

I played the living shit out of this years ago, loved every minute of it despite it's flaws. It was really ahead if it's time with it's physics. At this rate, JP:OG upload when???
