I know it's a niche of a niche of a niche, but I must make a thread about this game. The aesthetics, setting and lore have hooked me really hard, just as hard as I've gotten into Warhammer 40K or Battletech. An interesting setting with potential for deep lore is a must for a successful wargame, in my opinion, and TC has it in spades.
So, what is it mainly about? Imagine, if during the medieval Crusades, instead of just taking Jerusalem, the Knights Templar accidentally opened a gate to actual Hell. Oops. Demonic forces and corruption poured out of it, and plunged humanity in a Holy war for their continued existence against the forces of Hell, with celestial help from God. Said war has gone on for nearly a thousand years, up to where our world would have had World War One. So, trenches, artillery, shovels, bayonets and bolt action rifles, fighting demonic monsters and sorcerers with the power of the Meta-Christ, and Islamic Alchemists.
The game itself is a small force skirmish game, where you field 5-12 units per Warband, with a focus on narrative campaign play (progress carries over between matches) and fast rules. Here's a couple videos to give you all an idea of what it looks like, what the lore is like, and what the actual game plays like. I'm really wanting to get playing this over Tabletop Simulator (the rules are freely available!)
