So, let's talk about toys, action figures, dolls, whatever you want to call them; new and old

Some of my favorites are Happy Meal figures, mini-figures and plushies (the latter I didn't expect to get into as a 30+ year old man, but I love cute stuff. Especially TY Beanie Boos)

I don't know anything about this kind of thing and I'm not interested in it but I know a few people who have things like this and they're worth a lot of money.
Not sure if I had any that are actually worth money. But the oldest I have is a Mattel Animal Yackers Larry The Lion from the 60s and two Fisher Price Husky Helpers vehicle sets from the late 70's/early 80s (back when they were co-owned by Quaker Oats)

A couple of people that I work with at Goodwill are fairly knowledgeable about toys and we often get some fairly neat stuff. I know that Lalaloopsy dolls are starting to go up in price since they got discontinued

Yeah such toys from the 60s and 70s are valuable.

The only toys I had that weren't some ancient type of game was guns. Some of them are just ones looks like a gun without any function whatsoever, some just made stupid noises to imitade "shooting" lol but my favourites were guns that actually shoot. It made me invent my own toys by crafting makeshift guns that can even kill like my infamous flamethrower I made with perfume spray and lighter lolol and "automatic pencil shooter" lol.

Damn I wish when I was a kid we had one of those RC cars so you can drive. Despite I love cars never liked toy cars lol.

As for toys that looks like a person, animal, creature, et cetera I only used them as my targets to test my weapons' power by "burrowing" them from me brother!!!!

Muhuhahaha lolol.

I have a bunch of Star Wars figures from Hasbro/Kenner as well as Darth Vader and Boba Fett from Kotobukiya I bought pretty cheap back in the day. The funny thing is, I don't care about Star Wars since 2015-ish, so now they just remind me of old better times and not indicating my love for the franchise. Besides that I have Isaac from Dead Space 2 who doesn't light up anymore because the battery is dead. Ah, also Mario, Yoshi and Bowser Happy Meal figures that my friend got for me when he worked at local McDonald's. Nothing fancy really, they are more like memories I guess ::cirnoshrug

I don't consider myself a fan of Star Wars (much more of a Trekkie guy), but I grew up watching the original trilogy on repeat, love the EU (particularly the Young Jedi Knights books), and had a ton merch growing up (particularly a R2-D2 cassette player and most of the Taco Bell Special Edition toys). Most of my love is solely for New Hope because it just fully goes into the vibe of pulp science fiction adventure feature. But I do appreciate Empire Strikes Back also

Personally, as I've gotten older, I've gotten progressively more and more obsessed with TMNT. Love the 80's toys, the IDW comics, and the original 1990 movie (and the original cartoon, as batshit as it can be sometimes. Never really got into the 2003 show, mainly because of my active dislike of the "Turtles Forever" tv movie)

Take good care of your toys or figurines because who knows they could be worth a lot of money.

I still have my childhood "dinosaur box" full of all my old dino friends. I can't part ways with it, we had so many good times together...

For actual collectables, I used to be super into collecting Littlest Pet Shop in middle school, I stopped when they changed the designs of the molds and I thought they looked disgusting, but there's a new wave inspired on the ones I used to buy so I might check em out in the future...

I have a few things I've posted in other places on the forum. I only consider myself a casual collector though. It's mostly nostalgia based stuff (I love the 80s and 90s) or characters and things from certain entertainment properties I really love

I like turtles too, but my favorite is the Last Ronin himself

I also like badass robots especially Transformers as you can see with Bumblebee above LOL. Here's some more including my fave, which is Hot Rod

And of course I love the Mega Man X series

This badass looking (in my opinion) Silverhawk figure

Oh, and I have some old school Power Rangers stuff from the early seasons of the show with the original team

And something awesome sitting in my closet unopened until one day when I can hopefully move into a bigger house and display it somewhere

I used to collect figures, and I used to sell some on the side as well while working at a couple of jobs where we stocked toys. I got rid of almost everything that was unopened, and I'm not sure what I have left. I know I have two small USPS boxes of loose figures (GI Joe from when I was a kid, some wrestling, a couple transformers, etc) but not 100% sure of everything that's in there. Currently, I only have one figure out, of Harumichi Bouya from Crows, and he lives on top of my PC. This is an older photo from an apartment in 2018, the frog is not associated and I don't have it any more. There are cooler figures of this character but Crows x Worst stuff gets expensive, and this one was listed with a typo so nobody ran the price up too high.

I'm pretty much the same way. I think the "newest" toy that I've gotten is one for Rom, Space Knight because of how much I love the old Marvel comics

Also one of the few times where I decided just to leave the figure in the package

I really struggle with carded stuff. I can never decide whether or not to open them because once you do the packaging is essentially ruined. I don't have that problem with things that come in boxes. I still don't know whether or not I want to open this guy

My thing is, is if it has like a ton of extra pieces like arms and what have you, I'm more inclined to leave it in there. I've also got two carded Hot Wheels (one Val Kilmer's Batmobile and the other a whimsical hotrod called "birthday burner" with a fork as the front bumper and even has a place on the top to stick a birthday candle) that I just kind of liked having in the packaging

I had shitloads of matchbox and hot wheels cars and trucks as a kid. I gave them to my son who loves playing with them

I'd really love to get my hands on some vintage micro machines. Particularly the van city

Speaking of Micro Machines, still have a few of the Z-Bots toys laying around. Always thought they were neat
