Man we still crying about this. I will say as I always say learn to ignore A-holes and accept that people don´tt think like you or will agree with you. We manage to survive 20+ years with people smack talking each other or argue over dumb shit. As long people are not straight up braking the hate speech rules let them be. And no you don´t make that rule.

And If you can´t handle it call your ISP and beg them to turn of your internet for ever. Crying over it just makes you an annoying prick. That wanna censor all internet because you can´t handle to ignore people.

I am a lone wolf so I rarely interacted with people back then so personally no not really the only annoying thing where kids that should have not have a Mic at that age as they where very loud and annoying.

By second thought there was a Toxic encounter in GTA Online on the Ps3 a player kept killing me over and over again until I had enough and fired a rocket launcher and he crashed out and insulted me via mail.

Im glad eve online still allows smack talking as long as it´s not hate speech. While rest of internet think any kind of negativity should get death penitently.

I could kinda agree but most of the time people are calling others idiots for disagreeing with them rather than them actually being one.

You're just assuming that systematically they're right about them being idiots.

Once again it depends of the context but saying "f you" in the chat is a bit exaggerated for a video game.

I do agree that bots automatically muting/kicking/banning people because they thought you said something bad is bringing many false positives.

That´s the issue if we take every individual in to account on what they feel is hurting their feelings well then best solution is to have no voice chat or chat at all. I played FF14 with allot of idiot´s that just stands in the attack that they are TOLD to avoid and if I call them idiots then im reported well quit being F-ing stupid.

We have rules of no hate speach that should be enugh telling some one to fuck off or quit being and idiot should not be cause of ban.

In BF6 I got 7 days suspension for telling people to quit ignoring the fucking objectives because they are so fucking stupid and think their K/D means more than victory. I said that after 10 matches had ended in loses for my team 10 god damn fucking matches.

And the worst part that suspension was on my account I was not even ALLOWED to play my damn fucking single player games because I cold people fucking stupid.

I think this TOXIC in game has gone to far when your not allowed to be a little angry. Sure it would be one thing if I was being racist and etc. Then yes a BAN.

But cursing or telling you´r team mate to use their GOD given brain for once. Also a bit of smack talking is normal I insulted people that I later become good friends with.

But then we have muppets that starts crying if you curse at them and they want you dead for you told them to fuck of.

Reminds me of me and counter strike my teammates are.....not idiots rather retarded or brain dead these mentally regressed people keep making my team lose and we are playing terrorists!!!! For God sake we can rush B every match and get a good result instead it's bunch of basement dwellers masquerading as Rambo and BOOM game gone they threw away rounds like that :/ gosh Counter strike has to be the only game where i take its online part very seriously

I have a lot of mixed feelings. I think it all boils down to where the line should be drawn, which isn't simple, since toxivity is subjective for the most part. If you're too overzealous with punishing toxic behavior, you kill a large part of enjoyment in online games, and attract some obnoxious people; if you're laissez fair about toxic behavior, you create a miserable environment that can attract the worst types of people (who can and do go far beyond any acceptable behavior.)

In my opinion, I think the latter case is worse: the social aspect of online games is most of the reason you play them to begin with, and creating a space where assholes feed each other's bad behavior in a negative feedback loop won't create a tolerable community or playerbase. I also don't agree that "just ignore/block people" is as bulletproof as people make it out to be?

Possible glitch, it's happened a few times to me. Out of nowhere it seems like people can't hear my mic after awhile. I'm not on there dropping slurs like machine gun bullets lol. But I did have a few beers and called someone something I shouldn't of. Shortly after it seemed like noone could hear me. Not sure if it was a mute or what. I play solo almost exclusively. It's proximity chat

I don't mind mics most of the time, but it does get a little tiring after awhile. Sometimes I'll just go silent. Depends on how sociable I'm feeling really.
