He is just one bad apple in a sea of them called game ranger a third party online MP platform that allows you to host games even if said game MP isn't supported anymore.

Some of it was fun tho , what's not fun is the type of toxicity that gets you kicked from every game , i will tolerate chat toxicity and even indulge in it but kick me? Great you just pushed away a potential player!

Context is important - if I'm with good friends and I actually know we respect each other and enjoy the competition, it's cathartic to just say unhinged shit to each other lol. I only do that with people who don't have temper issues. I don't play games online unless it's with my brothers and very close friends usually, and those games are generally co-op anyway. However, when we do play something that's competitive, we like to create a space where we can just be douchebags and we're not hurting feelings and there are no stakes. I absolutely will stop playing games with people who start throwing controllers or actually get emotional about it.

yeah i can be pretty toxic when i know the report system in a game is practically useless. it depends tho like i never start the toxicity but if an idiot starts to be toxic with me im not muting him or quitting im just getting more toxic until the match ends or he quits. it happened a lot when i regretfully played league but thanks to god and the support of my family i uninstalled it.

when i say getting more toxic i mean stuff like throwing slurs spamming the chat throwing the match i think all guns are allowed in a toxic fight do whatever you gotta do to make the other guy quit. his quitting will become your victory and bring honor to your family name.

One of the reasons why I no longer play Doom online was because I was the target of some extremely unpleasant comments ranging from calling me slurs to making fun of my race and heritage... I'm usually pretty mild-mannered in online games, but I'll admit that I sometimes like to troll and poke at toxic players to get a rise. Seeing someone get seething angry over a video game is funny to me sometimes.

I'm the kind of person that believes that trash talk was an integral part of online gaming, and the move away from pre/post game lobbies and proximity chats in favor of private chats (Discord), or heavily censored/monitored in-game chats has ruined the social aspect of online gaming. Gaming needs a little toxicity to stay interesting, it feels sterile without it, and makes playing online far less fun. Trash talk also encourages people to improve, whether they realize it or not.

I never got into CS: Source back in the day because in my first game some idiot crossed my line of fire and got hit, he then get mad with me, TK me and insult me.
I have also tried to get into some ranking games (CS:GO or R6 back in the day) and just got tired of people crap. Yeah, Im not good, but neither are you if you are playing with me. I just overall stoped playing ranked because people act like this is the world championship and that this match will let them become profesionals. I even just set up my CS2 to just mute everyone. I dont have that much time to game and Im not going to get into a 45 minutes match to just have a bad time.

And about toxicity, it is what it is. I will take these 45 minutes awful games a thousand times rather than many solutions corporations gives. Yes, people are idiots, yes some just are specially hurtful, but such it life, you will find people that will do worse thing than just calling you bad things.

You have to learn to live with these uncomfortable things and learn to not care. Like me: I used to care too much about the toxicity in CS, to the point I stopped playing, but I got over it and now I play when I feel like it. Even on casual matches people will try to piss me off on text chat, but idc I aint going to let my day be ruined by some nobody. Thats what toxicity teach me.

Nah don't worry no one is really bothered by what you are saying , none seems to like the direction online gaming chats are being restricted limiting the social aspect of these games.

What you think might fix this? I mean creating servers for autistic people isn't exactly practical how about having chat disabled by default when person logs into a new game?

Yeah im doing great now missing 1 ball had to remove it after being kicked a bunch of times. But I do have nightmares but after 30 years you kind of heal but never fully.

Well honestly reason why I often never talk about the issue is because I don´t have a good solutions and I think why people rather nag about it becuse they hate it but there is no good solution.

Yeah honestly May sound like an asshole for saying suck it up but honestly that´s the best solutions I can give learn to ignore try not let the words get to you.

And I mean allot us get angry playing games right ? I don´t know how many times I screamed G bastards and fracking H or C to bosses when it goes bad for me in a game. I just throw out words when im pissed but I never mean them.

Yes then you have the real asshole that are just out to be real assholes but I honestly thing they are a minority but the loudest. And I say that after playing online games sense 1999 ultima online. I think there are more people just frustrated and some few are just evil.

Creating servers for autistic people isn't exactly practical or honestly rather good it becomes like china then and you end up alienating people.

Having no voice chat is good thing if people rely wanna talk with their team mates it´s often FRIENDS and then they have team speak, Discord and so on.

being able to turn of chat completely for people individually works. Like in eve online you can minimize local to never see it and make your own chat channels.


But I think it all boil down to better parenting and maybe TEACH kids in school right and wrong and punish bullies and not the bullied moving the bullied solves jack shit.

And maybe we need licenses for kids they make a psychological evaluation off the people that wanna have kids if they fail they are not allowed to have kids. Because allot of kids suffer because bad parents and then they often take it out on others.

The best thing is to teach people with out brainwashing them. Wanna teach people to be more accepting of other don´t force it down their throat don´t demand them instead make them wanna learn and make it fun to learn becuse we all know you learn better if it´s fun.
