To people who've never played Gears of War, will you give the game a chance once it releases on PS5 this year?

The first game is my favorite game in the franchise because it's darker and has more of a horror vibe. I'm curious how it'll be received today because it is very "of that era" given that it's a cover shooter, something that was very big during the seventh console generation. It'll be interesting to see how people who've never played the game feel about the game since it's a 2006 game at heart. I did find that the Ultimate Edition, the version that Reloaded is based on, did kind of ruin some of the artistic choices made in the original version of the game. The "Destroyed Beauty" look that was touted by Cliffy B during the original game's pre-launch hype phase was dialed back quite a bit in the Ultimate Edition. That said, I still found the game to be quite good all of those years later.

i have never played gears of war as i have never owned an xbox but it looks intriguing to me
aliens monsters and a lot of violence
although i have not purchased a console since 2012 so i hope it will release on computers as well

As for gears of war, it's a great shooter, I wouldn't buy it cause my 360 still alive, so I can play it whenever I want. I recommend it.

Already not a fan of shooters or guns in general, but when I played Spec Ops The Line I remember the story being good, but hated the gameplay. Later when I tried the first Uncharted I despised every second of it. I know that game is considered bad even by the genre's standards, but from what I learned this type of game isn't for me.
