Flared up a lot recently, and it pisses me off quite a bit rn.
Like a low ”swinging” sound. It doesn’t sound like it could be pulsatile tinnitus because it doesn’t follow my heart rhythm, just a low ”wwwuw…wwwuw…” kinda noise.

Mine is a sort of chirp with variable volume, like a cicada.

I used to have tinnitus up until my teenage years, then it just mysteriously went away... It was something I had learned to live with — kind of like the floaters, which I still have.

After having a weird rhythmic tinnitus in my left ear all summer (which I thought was due to my nerve pain medication, which slightly increases heart rate and blood pressure), it completely went away when lowering my dose from 25mg to 10mg two-ish weeks ago.

HOWEVER, today after exercising and going for a brisk walk after not exercising for a little while, it returned, so I’ve been dealing with the annoyance the entire rest of the day.

Hope it sorts itself out. If it doesn’t in like a month I’ll probably schedule an appointment again.

I have some ringing in my right ear.

Came back this week when turning around in bed one morning, and has been pretty constant the past few days. Left ear, low-ish "woo"-like sound, as usual.
I've been less physically active and not eaten as well as I should this week, so I'm sort of checking if it can be a trigger. Particularly the not-active part as I think applying pressure when sedentary for long periods of time definitely plays a part.

(This thread makes for a great way to journal my tinnitus, by the way as it's easy to look back at previous stints.)

Tinnitus rule number 1: don't talk (or even think) about it. You'll remember you have it and hear it again.

In my case it just appeared one morning without any reason at all. Left ear only.
