What are some shows that, according to you, remain excellent and engaging despite their age? Which ones you wouldn't miss an episode of despite knowing them by heart?

Mine are:

ALF.

Get Smart.

Gilligan's Island.

Growing Pains.

El Chavo Del Ocho.

So Weird.

Freaks and Geeks.

And possibly many more.

What about you? What are your picks for this pantheon?

The Rocky and Bullwinkle show

Murder She Wrote

Beavis and Butthead

Looney Tunes
Looney Tunes really is timeless

I used to love watching the old stuff when I was younger, then became a fan of Tiny Toons, Animaniacs, and Tazmania

Recently I have rediscovered my love of Looney Tunes again through these:

firefly ripped off Outlaw Star.
NO. IT. DIDN'T. YOU. DUMB. WEEB.

See this is why I hate modern anime fans so much: They might just be the most smug, braindead people in the universe. Well, second only to Users.

Outlaw Star is from the late 90s

The Sam and Max: Freelance Police cartoon holds up very well today, it's still very funny and entertaining. I also think One Piece is a great show (crucify me) though I'm not sure how much of that is nostalgia because I have been watching it since I was 9 years old.

River Tam = Melfina
Malcolm Reynolds = Gene Starwind
Kaylee Frye = Jim Hawking
Jayne Cobb = Aisha Clan-Clan
Shepard Meria Book = "Sunset" Suzuka
Serenity = Gilium (AI of the Outlaw Star)
The Operative = MacDougall Brothers
The Alliance = The Space Forces
Reavers = Space Pirates (particularly the Kei Pirates)
Illegal salvage and smuggling operations = The Outlaws
Full understanding of what the Alliance did to River = The Galactic Leyline (each solves the mysteries of River/Melfina)

Cowboy Bebop was pretty much designed to be timeless

Star Trek The Next Generation - Still the Star Trek gold standard for many people

Disney's Gargoyles

Batman the Animated Series, Justice League Unlimited, and Green Lantern the Animated Series are the DC cartoon gold standards to me

I really like your shows (Despite hating the Alf show as much as the dad actor did. ) Saw 3rd Rock From the Sun a few years back, do not know if it made any success in South America. But it is really great, the observations are mostly still contemporary despite it being almost 30 years now. I have no idea what Argentinians think of A Grande Família from 2001,(The Big Family in English) but same as 3rd Rock From the Sun, still represent middle class Carioca family very well, and it is still funny. (except the last few seasons)

Also El Chavo is Peak, El Chapulín Colorado is also cool (not as good)and i hate the animated version just as much as the Dad from Alf hated the Alf show.

Look ,you are not dumb, and That Neb Lleb dude was being rude, insensitive and wrong to both you and addicts, but a lot of tropes, in both these shows. (That are both great) are as old as SciFi itself, besides they both are unmistakable products of their own culture. In cases like these, especially when there is a huge geographical gap between productions(especially in the late 90s and very early 2000s when the Web2.0 was still blooming and the term didn't even exist yet ) it should be remembered that coincidences do exist and are more common than they appear.

Mr. Bean- Rowan Atkinson’s classic

Blackadder-Rowan Atkinson plus Hugh Laurie (House MD) who came in the second season up until the finale dishes out a comedy masterclass

The A Team- an 80s series later adapted to a movie decades later with an all-star cast lead by Liam Nelson

All those science fiction anime on Toonami should have been on SciFi's anime block.
