PS2 Time to Talk Time Crisis

This isn't my copy, but I bought the same boxed-edition that came with the gun

Over the weekend I had the opportunity to fulfill a childhood dream of mine, owning a copy of Time Crisis (with the guncon). Let me just say, there’s just something magical about blasting through waves of bad guys with an arcade-grade lightgun in hand, like it’s 2003 all over again. Between the ridiculous cutscenes, pedal-free cover system, and the sheer satisfaction of rapid-firing my way through an entire magazine, I can already tell this is gonna eat a LOT of my free time.
Getting to play Time Crisis 3 in the comfort of my room without having to share the "machine" was pretty close to what I imagine being Jeff Bezos is like. I absolutely love lightgun games, and whenever I go to an arcade the first thing I do is make a mad dash to the Time Crisis or the House of The Dead machine. However, almost any time I'd try to play, the lightgun would either be messed up, sticky, or just flat out not work. Stuff like this is what bred me into having a general disdain for going to arcades as an adult, people just can't control themselves/their kids it seems.

Off topic, but I've started to get into the habit of using eBay to flesh out my collection, and one of my favorite things to do is order from Canada. One prime example is the person that sent me my copy of TC3, also attaching a thank you note to the box! Now, I'm sure none of you give a rat's ass about this, but the reason I bring it up is because the U.S Customs Department (border police that look for no-no's hidden in the mail) rifled through the box containing my copy of Time Crisis. Turns out, the government isn't exactly keen on importing gun-shaped objects through Fed-Ex... who would've thunk?

Being put on a watchlist aside, I'm so hype to have this in my collection.

I wish you all the best! Time Crisis is awesome, even if I’ve only had the pleasure of playing 4 (even then, it was a busted arcade unit that was in dire need of maintenance).

I used to make special trips to my local mall just to play Time Crisis 3, I loved it so much. The arcade version of Crisis Zone with the plastic TMP that shook as you fired was great too.

I never played this game or arcade games, but sharing this kind of achievements is always great :)
I understand what you mean about thank-you note, it's nice to get them when buying used things (and of course it's even nicer to have a new and wished-for-a-long-time item added to one's collection).

I just wanna say, this is probably one of the best guncom games. After you beat the arcade mission, there's a side mission that unlocks where you get to play the girls side. Her section is amazing and it'll really test your skills here. I didn't beat it yet, but there's a part where she's chasing a dude, and the dude randomly grabs hostages as shields, so you have to very carefully shoot him and hot the hostage - i lose a lot of continues here but it's so much fun. That's not what I'm here to talk about today.

What I want to mention today is the sniper rifle section. Silent Scope, 1 - 3 came out here for the PS2. If you ever played it in the arcades back in the day you'll know you need to play the game with a rifle. The PS2 never got the rifle for it. But the xbox did? So I don't know how well it works.

But Time Crisis 3 has it's own sniper rifle section, that you can use with the GunCon 2 and it's out of this world cool. You point the gun at the screen and it shows you what you're aiming at throw the scope and it's so much fun, but you have to be quick - I really need to finish this game but my 27'' RCA TV fried about 3 years ago? and it's really hard to find peeps who can still fix old tvs. After the pandemic a slew of places closed down. So like ya, appreciate what you have here, play this game to it's fullest - I tried Time Crisis 4 which works with HDTV and the side mission they introduce there works like a cross between a first person shooter that you control with the light gun - It's fun but it's not the same. They really went all out with Time Crisis 3 and it's one of the best looking games in the series to boot too.

I somehow got super lucky and found a 12" CRT television at a yard sale for $10, I sprinted to the seller practically shoving my cash in their wallet. I did it, almost entirely because I knew I would hunt down Time Crisis as soon as I got home.
