Thoughts on the jak and daxter series?

I want to say jak and daxter 1 was the first true game I ever played on an actual system that wasn't handheld. I remember sitting in a dark room playing it on the ps2 on a fuzzy box tv
I also remember being unable to get out of the beginning of the second game due to how dark it was.
A bit of cool trivia
Jak and Daxter 1 is one of the first games to have no loading screen between levels.
But yeah what do you guys think of the games? We don't talk about the 4th one...

I strongly recommend you look up project goal. It's the original three games ported over to PC.

I've heard of it yes... And it seems amazing from what I've seen. Unfortunately I won't be able to get a PC for another 2 to 3 years minimum
Might be able to get a gaming laptop sooner though
Is project goal the one that people have been using to make extra levels and such? I've heard of a few of those in the works

Yes, it's where the "mod" footage for the three games has been coming from. The GOAL launcher supports mods, too. So, it's pretty user friendly. Jak 3 left alpha recently.

With my timeframe everything should be a fair bit more established once I finally DO get set up.
I'll definitely keep an eye on it all

A great game franchise, but one I was never attached towards. I was mostly done with 3d platformer games around this point.
