I'm watching it now after the PlayStation State of Play 2025.09.24, which was pretty neat!

Nice to see Dynasty Warriors 3 (of all games) getting some love, amongst all the new stuff that they announced.

I'm ofc all in for KojiPro's

TRAILERS

I didn't watch TGS, but some of those are fake, right? ::cirnoshrug
I don't believe so. Some may get cancelled, but as I understand, these are all games that were showcased at the Tokyo Game Show event.

The videos have click-baity titles, but they have taken all the relevant gameplay snippets and game trailers from the various developer showcases at TGS (CAPCOM, XBOX, PS Studios etc.)

Ok, I'm just really suspicious of the one video that said Nier 3 & Uncharted 5 were announced. I can't find anything anywhere, unless this just happened? ::thinking

Yes Nioh 3 was just announced during the PlayStation State of Play showcase from the other day.

Here is the trailer:

And here is gameplay:

I haven't heard anything about Uncharted 5 though.

Yeah, not Nioh :loldogThe 2nd video says Nier 3 at around 10 minutes in, as in a sequel to Nier Automata, but only shows footage from the Stellar Blade x Nier DLC.

I'm not doubting most of these, but that one in particular is suspicious. Just because I can't find any other mention of a Nier 3 at the moment::cirnoshrug
I am interest in Nioh and Wolverine.
Yeah, Wolverine should be fun!

You're right! Sorry, I mis-read.

I can't find any other info about a Nier 3 announcement either, so I'm gonna remove that video - I have no desire to spread false information. Thanks for pointing that out!

Yeah but I doubt it will be released anytime soon because it has already been postponed once.

Nothing to apologise to me for hehe Another Nier game would be a big deal for me, so it just happened to draw my attention ::sailor-embarrassed If anything, I hope I didn't hijack the thread! ::booshy

I think they only said 2026 for Wolverine, yeah? So that could in theory be December 31st :loldog

Well I personally don't mind if they delay any of these releases. I'd rather have a fully polished game on release, rather than paying full price for a product that's been rushed out the door that only works after a few emergency patches in the following weeks.

Yeah that's true.

Not to be negative but none of these games interested me; still I'm only interested in Crimson Desert, Code Vein 2 and ARC Raiders.

Gameplay they have doesn't seem to have something different than video games I played decades ago. Graphics are realistic I give you that but such graphics offers no fun value whatsoever lol (real life makes me bored of how real life looks like which is partly why I go play Sega Genesis games and why I like their graphics instead) + because it try to be realistic but fails it looks repulsive (my brain strongly screams "this shit is not real" in every frame therefore the video game immersion is destroyed for me and it feels like wake up to "real life" from Matrix lol) therefore I will always prefer visually appealing video games that their graphics are an artwork instead of trying to look realistic like Breath of Fire 4 and Radiata Stories, so I advise video game companies to go outside and touch grass and then look for visual artworks that is not "I can paint photorealistic shit" flexing BS on their local museum lolol.

2nd video is like a showcase of Netfllix-shit, no video game can make me interested just because of cinematic shit or how they fill their Steam page with scenic screenshots as if I play video games for sightseeing SMH. Perhaps they should be educated on how video games can be by playing PS2 and pre-PS2 video games because the industry clearly lost the plot.

I think that Ananta could be interesting. Looks a bit like a generic anime-ish GTA game, but I could see that being fun enough.

I don't know if Kojima's OD would be for me, but I am interested to see how it is received upon release.

Code Vein 2 could be interesting for sure. I only played the intro to the first game, and while I have my gripes with it, the basic concept of "anime dark souls" is an idea with so much incredible possibility. I hope Code Vein 2 can surprise me with something new whilst pleasing fans of the first game.

I'm all about OD and Romeo is a Dead Man. Ninja Gaiden 4, too, but that's out in a month.

I like what I've played of Housemarque stuff so Saros looks like it might be interesting. Hyperfunk & Nioh 3 as well.

Honestly, the first time I played Code Vein I was in it for character creation, but then fan service BS and "anime dark souls" was my initial reason to drop the game.

And then I played God Eater 1 and wanted to play something like that at least has the same vibe, didn't like the 2nd game and 3rd game looked like rubbish so I got back to Code Vein 1 again. This time played the game past intro and realized instead of it being "fan service horny game of anime dark soul" I just found "old school game in dark soul skin that it's not even bothersome as how souls genre is, so no grind BS or horny shit" then just for fun I kept going with the game and even having vibe of Castlevania, cool Vampire fashion and weapons and then without any warning I suddenly fell into the abyss of "great story presentation with deep psychological depth into the characters and their struggles" so because of how story presentation was so artistic perhaps I liked the game way more than I should. I normally don't care about story and wouldn't say the game has a "good story" but what I liked it the story presentation could be emotionally impactful without turning the shit into Indian drama or something lol. I really liked the art direction of the game. And then until the game ended I was like this but in good way!!!:

lolol

And then I liked its ending so I was like this:

Long story short gameplay was fun enough so I would replay the game (I plan to around when 2nd game will release) but what I really liked about the game is same as Final Fantasy 6, Radiata Stories and Black Sigil: The game touches upon deep part of humanity that no other fiction "kinda did", this game goes deep into that and the way story was presented TBH if anyone care about experiencing stories I'm sure they will like Code Vein 1 for sure. Despite I usually don't care about NPCs but they were kinda memorable for me. I can't say they were "well written" but I can say everything about the game is in great harmony for the theme of the game. But too bad this initial fan service shit is a bad bait for horny teens and then "fake dark souls gameplay" is a big reason for souls-lovers to feel scammed. Beyond that the actual game is good especially when you are in the mood of focusing on what the game want to tell you and enjoy experiencing that universe.

I think none of them are appealing.

This whole year has been a bust as far as new games or upcoming games are concerned. The only thing I'm in for are the remasters and remakes like Trails 1st, FF Tactics, Dragon Quest I & II, or VII.

This whole year has been a bust
I feel the same since like 2020, I even started to play rubbish PS2 games because video gaming turned into no country for adults lol. But at least this year the legend returned and released its new game on PC!!!!!:

2025 saved for me at least!!!! lol

Im too broke to consider buying new games so Im mostly happy for the Monster Hunter Wilds / Final Fantasy collaboration event
