Anybody familiar with this one? The game was a twilight era release for the NES. Its biggest feature was that unlike the first game, which was singleplayer only, II was one of just a handful of NES games capable of using the NES Four Score/Satellite. Consequentially, all four cars can be player-controlled. It also made a lot of improvements to the first game...at the cost of some inexplicable issues (like a constant overscan bar on all tracks).

Have you ever played/owned this game? How do you compare it to the first game? I don't really hear about it too much.

For those that never even heard of it, I made a little something to showcase it.

Played it a few months back. It's definitely one of the best racing games on the NES and a considerable improvement over its predecessor.

I liked it a lot as a kid, but found it tough to go back to — I still don't like the controls. Maybe I never will.

Eh, it was alright for what it was.... both this and the first one.
I dunno, I just never liked how the game controlled. I found Micro Machines to be the better game, and its controllers were still clunky as R.C.P.A's It was fun... at least fun enough

I have always wanted to play this, but this Ahole named Archnine would never let me.

I wonder what OmegaPunch would have thought of this game...

Miss that dood.

While I don't outright dislike topdown or isometric racers, the controls always felt somewhat unnatural to me. Wouldn't be my first choice.

Improves on a LOT of what made the original so great, love the fact that you can individually upgrade your RC car parts (though zooming around the track trying to pick them up is kind of fun too in 1)
