Thoughts on this piece of garbage?
one man has:I think the Internet has voiced its collective opinion on this one loud enough. Has anyone tried actually beating the game?
rips a little honestly, for a 3d platformer made in a cave with a bunch of scraps
can't blame em for much besides, mario 64 wasnt out yet and their only real frame of reference was jumping flash for how a 3d platformer could work in theory; they junked it in the end and the 3d platformer would go into a more free form objective based direction instead but they couldnt have known that, neat little history box though very much a fossil
they had a couple. mario 64 was out for about a month or two at most, and even they had a chance to play it, that's not enough time to get a good grasp on everything needed on how to make a proper 3d game engine.Super Mario 64 was out for months when this game released. Developers had zero excuses.
Croc also started development before Mario 64 was released, but they had the decency of actually finishing the product before releasing it because they believed it would eventually turn good. Bubsy just rushed the release to trick people into buying a broken mess.Like @Golden Bat stated, it was made in the unga bunga caveman days of 3D console gaming, so some slack can be given.
Think about the hottest, and most humid day of the year. How bad can it possibly be?
Or you can swallow a grenade, no more heroes style.Think about the hottest, and most humid day of the year.
Now imagine a large animal like a deer, dead in that heat for a week.
Now imagine the smell and how it gets in your mouth, nose, etc.
Think how awful that is. Now multiply that by five, and you'll be close to how bad Bubsy 3D is.
