Thoughts of the new Raidou Kuzunoha Soulless Army Remaster?

First I'm hearing of it.
But I ain't gonna complain. ::thumbsupwario
Here's hoping we get Maken X and such, too!
I was going to post a pic of my Maken X but it turns out all my DC stuff is at my aunts' lol You rarely see this game mentioned nowadays

As for the Raidou games. They're still part of my PS2 backlog, I own both and I haven't gotten around to them yet I still consider them among my "new" PS2 games....they're not new, seeing that they're releasing remakes terrifies me at how fast time flies. I did try the first game out when I got it but I left it for another time and that was it. Huge DDS1 and 2 fan, but I never really got around to the Raidou games.

DDS1 and 2 are maybe the most ambitious and unique thing Atlus has ever done.
Seriously just trust me on this, if you haven't researched a lot of the origins of what they reference in those games it might not seem all that special, but I did a very big deep dive into Hindu mythology after playing the games and the concepts are EXTREMELY deep and the way they're done. And even beyond that, stuff in 2 which I won't spoil about the composition of the universe etc. is really mindblowing and insanely underappreciated.

I also feel similarly about Sekiro lore, what is in there is amazing but as cultures a lot of us gamers are just very detached but it also does some amazing concepts with Buddhism if you research it basically a perverted interpretation of it

Also I'm a bit confused, how is this a remaster?
They've redone a lot of models and straight up revamped the combat. Isn't this a little much for it to just be a remaster? I feel like to me a remaster is just something like P3P ports where they just upscaled a bunch of assets and straight ported it. This is way more effort?

the combat is supposed to be built off the combat systems of raidou 2 apparently, so i dont think its an entire revamp, though they've added so many new QoL features in the combat it does seem pretty different and more fluid. About everything in the original Raidou was perfect besides the clunky combat so im hoping all the combat revisions actually work this time around lmao

Ah alright, I've only played the first so it looked way more revamped to me especially when he began aiming and stuff

Huh, really a mystery why it looks like that

I'm glad the combat has been revamped in this remaster, because the combat in the original got repetitive very quickly and I actually had to stop playing as I was getting bored from it

Also, Atlus, can you bring back Digital Devil Saga duology? Pretty please
