As those following Capcom's new IP may know, a demo was just released for Steam, running for roughly 20-30 min of content. So what are people's thoughts? Personally, while third person action games are nothing new in gaming, I like the hacking during combat, and I am always a sucker for dad/daughter games, so this is still a day one for me.

Note that I am getting the game for PS5 but played the PC demo, which, running on my dinky laptop on the absolutely lowest settings, didn't at all give me a glimpse of how beautiful the game is gonna look on console or max PC settings.

Don't know why Capcom didn't release the demo on consoles 🤔
That really is strange. With them it's usually the other way around. Ideally all relevant platforms should get access to demos whenever possible.

Thanks for bringing the demo up, I'll check it out later. I feel like third-person shooters really need to work hard to differentiate themselves from the pack at this point, so I'm definitely curious what this game has going on.

I loved this demo, but I also noticed that Capcom is looking for Twitch streamers, and I hate Twitch drops with passion - I don't want to watch a game played, I want to play the game myself for Pete's sake. I truly hope this game doesn't have them... I like my games complete, replete with all DLC so drops would ruin the whole game for me. :/

Alright, just finished it and yeah, that was great - really wish the demo was a bit longer and featured a bit more combat, but what was there was really fun.
At first I thought the special guns could use some more ammo, but then I realized it's really more about dodging until you get a stun rather than playing it as a more traditional third-person shooter.

The demo of course never really got all that challening, but I can imagine these building blocks could make for a really fun action game once everything clicks into place and they throw tons of enemies at you.

Also, the performance was fantastic even on pretty high settings for me, despite my aging Laptop - they've gotten really good at making the RE Engine sing at this point.
So yeah, I went in with zero expectations and now I'm actually kinda excited for this game.

Glad I could kindle some excitement even from someone who didn't know of the game :-)

Personally I think the length is fine for a demo, but while you're right the combat ain't that challenging right now, I fully expect the full game to come with all sorts of blocks that add various strategic elements to the hacking.

"I don't want to watch a game played, I wanna play it myself", while I agree with your sentiment in a sense, I am also the guy who has wasted hours on youtube watching let's plays. Not because I didn't wanna play the games in question on my own, but because let's plays, for a long time, were my comfort food after a hard day at school/work, and I quickly found a channel (that I still follow to this day) whom I would watch no matter what he played, even if that meant spoiling a game I really ought to have played by myself.

Btw what PS1 game is your profile?

This might be the only place where you can legitimately discuss the game. Not kidding.

Why is that, you reckon? Because of trolls? Not gonna lie, this, of all places, is THE forum I have found where people are the most friendly and actually provide serious answers. On reddit I always get the trolls.
