I also enjoy finding VRC6 remixes of older NES music and even music from other systems. Its crazy how Konami was not just pioneering some of the best software during the 80s resurgence of gaming, but also in hardware with their arcade boards and NES custom chip mappers, like the VRC6 with its graphics and audio enhancements that rivaled Nintendo's own mappers.
I wonder if there's another universe where Konami also joined the hardware race and what that would have looked like.
