im also eagerly waiting on that. other platformer im looking forward to is 500 CALIBUR CONTRACTZ. its like mario 64 but with a gun and a 2000's cool and edgy look to it.

I've been thinking about Clockwork Knight recently and the thought came to me as to why Sega didn't try to revive the series with a Souls-like and I had an image similar to this.

That's like how I imagined Ristar and Vectorman as 3rd person action games.

Yo OP, I do need to warn you. This game has been in development for literal years with very few signs of progress. I heard about it through a Funke video like 3/4 years ago and it's been living in my wishlist ever since. A many months ago it went from "coming soon" to "early access coming soon" and that's about it. If it releases and it's awesome you can discount everything I've just said but yeah, just be careful not to get too excited because as a person that's had their eye on it for a while, it's a little dubious

it's getting updates over on Bluesky. What's so dubious? Do you even remember how long Freedom Planet 2 took to officially release? What about Pizza Tower? What about Deltarune?

it's getting updates over on Bluesky. What's so dubious? Do you even remember how long Freedom Planet 2 took to officially release? What about Pizza Tower? What about Deltarune?

Difference between slow process and weird multiple year hiatus. You can list all the games you want but fact of the matter is you won't remember the names of the games that never actually made it out of development and onto the market - for every Pizza Tower there's at least a thousand dead kickstarter pages

Thanks for your interest. I'm the solo dev of eternity egg. I've been working on the game pretty consistently since 2021. It's my first big project.

It's also totally self-funded. For the first 4 years it was a passion project I worked on in my spare time alongside a day job, but since the start of this year, I've gone full time.

The Steam page has always said "Coming soon to early access", as that was always the plan. My goal currently is to release into early access later in 2025. In line with this plan, I changed the Steam page release date from "coming soon" to "2025" earlier this year.

I've been posting progress videos semi consistently on socials throughout the entire development, and monthly written updates for the past year ISH on Discord (longer at a less frequent pace).

I just saw this thread on Google after vainly searching eternity egg and wanted to provide some updated info to the discussion.

Anyways I appreciate it and hope you all enjoy the game when it's out

Been following you and this games progress on Twitter for a few years now, pretty crazy to see you here now of all places lol. Hope all goes to plan for you and we get that early access later this year
