Third place(s)

Yeah I do donate to the mosque sometimes if I can there is something about placing your hard earned money into a thing that helps the entire community it feels good man.

Now absolutely! We humans can change and are indeed the most complex of creations who walk this earth so deviations are very possible from the usual stereotype.

And yeah the internet has couple problems with taking everything as a joke they turned the pager incident into a meme.....its also quite nihilistic as heck and can make you see the world in a very negative light that's why touching grass will always be good.
I think we should stop talking about the first and third subject since politics and religion are a slippery minefield.

As for sociology some people could get malicious about that, using someone's weakness for their own gain.

I find crowded places incredibly tiring and stressful, so I don't have any third places.
Depends of how crowded personally.

I think you do need a balance of getting enough noise daily.

Yes I do prefer more quiet places , malls for example can feel pretty crowded at times unless you go out with friends then it can be really a good time , you know having these explosive arguments with friends is fun.

I agree with the whole introvert thing being overblown on the Internet today. People are confusing all kinds of things with being introverted because it's how everyone describes themselves online.

I'm disabled. Just taking care of myself is a struggle, let alone going outside.

Where are the first and second ones?

Is it like a bar or a different thing? Also can someone straight accompanying be there?
basically a bar but with large dance rooms and pretty lights haha. & yes straight people are allowed, very few exclude anyone but it is expected that everyone is respectful

I miss Malls. I used to live near 5 really nice ones and have tons of memories hanging out at them with old friends and my highschool sweetheart. That feeling of hitting the arcade, buying a couple SNES games and a Miku plush, looking at manga and grabbing lunch, and browsing random nicknacks from swords to hookah pipes all on the same walk was pretty unmatched.

Nowaday's, they're all closed or complete ghosttowns. We had one, The St. Louis Mills Mall, that was huge and a really big deal when it opened, but when I visited it last it only had like 5 storefronts open and most of it was closed off.

I'm 31, so my "socializing days" looks a lot different than when I was a teenager, or even my 20s. My friends own houses, and I own a house, so we invite people over more often, and we drink, play video games, and watch movies.
I still go to bars, though not nearly as frequently as in my 20s, which provide a fun social experience. I also started going to cigar and pipe lounges, as I got into smoking pipes - cigar lounges are a very good place for older people to go and socialize.
Up until 2 years ago, I played in a band. So socializing at concerts and shows was fun. I no longer play music and had a falling out with my local music scene, but I still go to concerts, though again not as often as I used to in my 20s. I'm going to see Trivium in a month or so, and I'm hoping to see Polkadot Cadaver this year.
I also still go to anime conventions when I can. I definitely go to ACEN every year, and I feel like I'm 21 again when I go. Just four days of debaucherous binge drinking and partying with some of my best friends, surrounded by weebs, gamers, and hot cosplay chicks. Nothing beats it.

Used to love going to the Mall with a friend so we could go to this mega store that had a bunch of books/manga and a PS4 with limited games to play. Bloodborne was on it and we would spend a bunch of times waiting until one of us died so the other could play. We also would spend a lot of time on the nearest Burger King abusing the free refill of Pepsi there and just chat for some time. Both those places closed many years ago :(

I'm very fortunate to have a local venue that hosts fighting game events on Thursdays and various times on certain weekends. It sucks that it's so hard to get people out of their house to come and play but I get it. Definitely want to make going to the local Round1 arcade and library more of a regular thing though! I volunteer weekly for an activist group but it's also important to have more relaxed and recreational third spaces too.

Really easy answer. I pick three places, try each one and the third one I try is technically the best since technically itโ€™s the only one that could be third, technically speaking.

Also I have no friends, so what would I go outside for?
Seeing the sights, taking the air, maybe going for a jog, solo activity counts.

I'm the only guy in my circle of friends who has the most consoles so I often invite them to hang around my place, but we do make a point to eat outside instead of getting a take out or delivery.

Technically, if you went to the toilet before you go to the third place, would it become the third place instead?

I really miss malls in particular, actually. From how busy and social they were to just... being worth a damn, you know? They're so baron and just a shell of what was.

Hmph malls still active here and filled with people when did malls exactly die ::thinking

I hang out with friends at the arcade or park. Sometimes we go out and get something to eat. Unfortunately since it's winter here and weather has been awful it's not as easy to go out to hang out with people.
