Switch There's now an actual Virtual Boy Switch accessory

Too much work for Nintendo. Remember they are an indie game devs

They lack money if not by the power of sue them all to make something worth it

Palworld devs are known to make knock off games too. Honestly i don't side with either side here. I'm just watching while munching on some caramel corn. :p

The Virtual Boy thing was pretty funny, but I'm not buying a fake Virtual Boy for any amount of money. Pretty interesting that Innsmouth Mansion is getting a Western release (assuming it wasn't just the Japanese Direct's asset misused in the US Direct).

Yeah, this direct was awful

I'm usually a sucker for Directs and am easily excited by most first-party Nintendo releases, but this one didn't do much of anything for me. The Switch 2 versions of games all look like they did the lowest effort additions and slammed them in the game for (presumably) twenty extra bucks. I think the only games they showed that I was even remotely excited for were the ports of RE7, 8, and FF7 Remake. That should give a good impression of my feelings of it overall lol.

The only thing that got the dopamine receptors going was when that tomadatchi guy said "When's it gonna be released?" I thought that was a cute. I also thought the RE9 announcement was Eternal Darkness at first until I saw the characters

Oh yeah! I forgot about Tomadachi Life! That's the one first-party game I'm stoked for. That looks like a dumb, fun time.

i'll stick to

I was genuinely dumbstruck by this announcement on the direct. Not only is it the ultimate "literally who asked for this?" moment, but there's gonna be worse than headaches, considering they're basically asking people to pay whatever God forsaken price to put a HD output screen right up to their face.

The virtual boy by itself IS the horror game.... console.....

Just put your ultra-realistic eyes in the screen and you will feel like living in a creepypasta

I like the virtual boy, but I wouldn't buy into any of this. In addition to needing a peripheral to play the games, you need to maintain a nintendo online subscription to play them. If that goes away, so do all your games and the reason to own a fake virtual boy. I'm willing to bet so few people will buy it that it'll become worth as much or more than an actual virtual boy in the future.

As I said in the other thread, It's E-Waste.
The virtual boy lacks a library worth releasing a physical console for, let alone an accessory you could easily 3D Print.

Remember the $10 cardboard/Plastic headsets you slid your phone into back in 2015?
Nintendo "innovates" again ::hellmo

A game library of 22 games with 5 of them being tetris and 10 being the usual sports game, let that sink in

Btw, if anyone wants to know, these are the Virtual Boy games that won't be avaiable on NSO:
  • Nester's Funky Bowling
  • Panic Bomber
  • SD Gundam Dimension War
  • Space Squash
  • Virtual Lab
  • Virtual League Baseball
  • Waterworld
Why Panic Bomber won't be there (it's a Bomberman puzzle game btw) I have no idea. Also Virtual Fishing is only avaiable in the japanese version of the VB Nintendo Classics.

So not only the revival of a thing that should stay dead, but they also cut the little games they released for it

I think it's a curious piece of videogame history. And I wouldn't call every of them little games. VB Wario land and Jack Bros. are pretty good and the best games in there. Everything else is ok to mediocre.

I really hate how you can't just buy Nintendo's classics on Switch and can only rent them.

What i meant with little games is the total number of games they released for the console

Sorry if my comment wasnt clear
