The Vectrex had potential

Kinda like the Sega Nomad in a way: smaller yet mostly played while plugged.

I am planning to get a vertical monitor (although they may be expensive). I agree that even if Ultrawide screens are nice we need more varied resolutions. Tate was basically the selling point of the Wonderswan.

But I'm digressing.
Man, I’m sad we never got a 32 bit WonderSwan sequel with really good color.

Imagine some world where we got a crazy shmup from Treasure or Jaleco or Taito or Toaplan that you could take on the bus?

Same thing with the Neogeo Pocket but alas, Nintendo had the lead for handheld (even when the PSP was around the DS still was the more popular of the two). I liked Judgement Silversword on the WS.

But we're digressing quite a bit. I'm wondering if the Vectrex wasn't just a console that came too soon for its idea since the Switch, Rog Ally, Steam Deck and other gaming handhelds are technically successors.
