Collective Shout is an Organization who, to anyone that cares about mediums, should need no introduction. They are the natural conclusion to years upon years of disinformation of the education of and manipulation by mass media to find children vulnerable to almost any concept outside of a safe bubble, mixed with America's extraordinarily unhealthy relationship with the concept of sex and sexuality under it's smoking banner of patriarchy, and the modern rise of puritanism via online circles of varying social media platforms. They are not feminists or annoying mothers who cover their children's eyes seeing a rainbow flag, they are monsters who seek the erasure of mediums, expression of ideas through fictionalized means, and who ultimately seek to cleanse art at a conceptual level of any of it's identity, sexual in nature or otherwise, with the backing of large corporations and income majorities who share the same goal of a brainless general public that does naught to fight against them or for their own interests. When will we say "enough is enough"?

I have read a lot about it regarding how people reacted and all but clearly only the wrong people negatively react to it by whatever BS excuse they look for lol. For example on the contrary negative reaction they give I don't think it's "censorship" when online video game distribution platforms mass remove video "games" about whatever is porn that they are not a "game" to being with. Another thing is these websites due to their nature are frequented by kids so why such places should have such BS even adults don't wanna see anyway? They are unnecessary, this is mental illness and they are no game so they had no place to be in Steam and whatnot from the start. Just find a real GF/BF because that's what matters, otherwise they are like a digital hamburger-eating simulator to fool yourself you're eating a real hamburger by making it with whatever BS humanity has to offer from its bad apple aspects lolol. Just get the real hamburger dammmittt!!! lol

On social media like Twitter (X) parents were especially angry at Steam for lots of reasons for years and this is the natural result for collective backlash around the world due to what America did to the world with their BS culture. If Steam wanna exist and if they wanna be able to sell games to the world they gotta get their shit together. Gotta be glad that payment services has the backbone while Valve wanna make money no matter what kind of BS they wanna do even if it means they would ruin society. If fatty Gabby wanna make money from porn then he can start a separate website for it and call it "Cummy" or something lol, doing that BS on Steam chokes down real deal video games and the Steam turned into "not safe for public" BS for years. I wanna find some decent games but wherever I look for was these BS lolol.

when the 25th century comes... you need a flawless revolution to end this.

@Graw these games depicting sexual crimes to please sick people needs to go, true. But by allowing these companies to dictate what it's "right" and what's "wrong", this open a dangerous precedent where their subjective view of good and bad ends up damaging well established games. Don't believe me? Check out what happened to Mouthwashing in Itch.io.

Thank Goodness I don't have Credit Cards, Social media and if the Internet required a Id then I'm out I will keep digging until the time comes best to be prepared
I can see myself living like a nomad when governments turns into giant companies by being connected to citizens in a way there is no privacy anymore because no matter what you do the online system will send your request to even buy a knife for your kitchen and the system approves it, otherwise you cannot buy it. Then police comes over your home and interrogate you to understand why you wanna buy a knife and if you cannot convince them their "crime preventation unit" will think you are up to no good and for "having ill intent" they will jail you for a crime you didn't actually even wanna commit and then you will have to pay fine for it because government invented laws to control citizens for their own benefits and have enough legal excuse to steal their money lol. So imagine governments already wanna implement ID verification for social media and wanna enforce a system of your computer will have to scan your citizen card to even able to connect to internet, and track your actions better they wanna merge credit card system with your citizen card so whatever you do on internet will be reported to government lol.

As an itch.io creator until recently...this honestly has me panicking. I haven't exactly made a lot of lewd games but I've made adult oriented furry comics before and those were already de-indexed. I've relied on itch to make it in tough times and so this feels not just like a scare but like possibly losing a lifeline... I'm still trying to figure out my next steps if I'm tbh. ::booshy

Check out what happened to Mouthwashing in Itch.io.
The developer of Mouthwashing is just redirecting their "buy" link to Steam which is usual to happen in itch.io as soon as the game start to sell well. It's not related to this topic.

Since the game is not purchable from itch.io because of what the developers did with their own free will that had nothing to do with this topic or itch.io the game is automatically de-indexed because that's how their policy is regarding what happens to game that's not sold on their website.

You're right, i've just searched it up and it's true. Sorry about that. I've followed the creator's own words about the case but he himself was wrong about the cause of the game being delisted from itch.
But still, my point that just letting these credit card companies do whatever they feel like doing will negatively impact the gaming industry still holds.

Yep yep its only a matter of time. Give them an inch they'll walk a mile.

Mhm you are right. For example I may be personally against porn games, however I don't care how people use their own money to buy whatever they want. After all it's their money. My only personal wish for Valve is to start another website to sell these porn stuff or seperate porn section altogether which will be better for their business so that non-porn video games won't be choked down, and fatty Gabby can still make money lol. A ban on porn cannot make people stay away from porn anyway. Water always finds its way after all.

However, if payment processors wanna ban how people wanna use their money then it will necessarily make people find another way to make payment because this is against capitalism and personal preference. And if society had allowed some random organisation to enforce what people should do in general then these organizations will be labelled as a terrorist and any government that goes along with it will fail. This is social, political and business suicide moment here lol.

On the other hand I understand how payment processors don't wanna associate themselves with whatever criminal people may do and what people pay for and all for their brand and therefore company value, but enforcing a ban on products and services is not the way. They just gotta talk with governments for it. But especially in America porn is legal, otherwise they wouldn't let OnlyFans and porn games being sold on Steam and all (The First Amendment yo lol), but it just negatively affects the rest of the world because rest of the world doesn't have the porn culture America and Japan have (world doesn't have to care about The First Amendment lol). Because of it many countries seriously consider banning Steam, enforcing citizen ID verification on American social media and all. It wouldn't be surprising if countries had cut off whole American and Japanese internet actually lol. Kids doing the Naruto run damaged the world enough already!!! lolol

So in the near future Valve and itch.io has to find a way to sell porn games on a seperate website or seperate section of their website that verify age of people via citizen ID but if payment processors still be like "I don't wanna assosiate myself with this BS" then another company that brings a "sense of morality is for pussies, you can even buy a nuclear bomb we don't care" policy lol then this company will be number 1 in payment processors lol.

There's absolutely no chance in hell that they'd ever be successful in getting those games delisted or removed from any libraries. Sure, they want to - but will they? Absolutely not. Rockstar has been targeted over their games for decades, and their lawyers have bulletproofed their existence at this point. They've got every loophole in the world prepared for that situation, if it ever comes to pass.

Honestly, regarding this whole situation, I think "Gamers" are getting way too paranoid and upset. It's some gamergate-adjacent shit. Nothing's happened to a single real, genuine creative piece of work yet. Everything affected so far is weird perverted shit, which is their mission statement. I don't really even disagree with it for the most part, and I don't think anyone who is relatively responsible would disagree either. Wait until something does happen that's so egregious before getting outraged.

Got to nip it in the bud.

I would not call it paranoid we already witnessed first hand bad people literately KILLING games we love out of pure hate and if they can´t kill them from the inside they will try to get them banned and with enough backing and enough money not even Rock star stands a chance.

Sure they might not get GTA outright banned. But if they manage to put pressure on steam to remove NSFW games they might get steam not to sell GTA so you have to buy GTA from Rockstars own clitent/store. Which is kind of bad for steam and rockstar as steam is the biggest digital store front.

Or GTA might be safe but 100 of indie games and AA games might suffer and im not talking erotic ones I talk all of them that does people think bad for kids. SO any game from ESRB 16 to 18.

Collective ass hats is targeting any game they see is bad for kids. Not thinking ESRB and PG exist for a reason and that honestly instead of banning game maybe parents should take their bloody responsibility.

I mean it parents are bloody useless I seen them buy CoD to their 12 year old son even knowing fully way it does not say PG12 even being told by the store clerk that the game feature violence and more.

And what are some non-porn games that were removed by collective shout? Do you have a list of these removed non-porn games?
Well, for one, "Mouthwashing" (Horror game).

This was already discussed above. Mouthwashing didn't get removed from itch for anything related to the contents of the game itself. It's because the download link on their itch page was just serving as a redirect to the game's Steam page and itch didn't like that. They gave the devs eight months to fix the issue. They didn't. So their page was taken down.

This is why Brazil came up with Pix, so card companies can't dictate morality to the populace. Collective Shout is a rebranded right-wing christian org and part of the long term play in banning stuff like this is defining anything queer as sexual and banning lgbtq folks from these platforms. I also hate opening up Steam and having at least 3 bottom of the barrel CGI porn games on the top selling list (not even something decent like Dohna Dohna, darkest dungeon with immaculate animation/music/titty) but I'll deal when that's the threat. If it makes you feel weird, you don't have to engage with the media.

Like y'all might not remember how they straight up lied about everything in the games they used to justify creating the ESRB, and how that stifled any discussion of anything sexual in games aside from T&A for over a decade, but I do!

...why is Collective Shout's logo an anus? After looking them up I don't understand why you called them monsters? Its wrong for an organization to prevent children from the corruption that this world offers?

Honestly these companies like steam and gog got so lazy, they should just have some toggle option to enable these games to show up which only works if you login. So simple. And would probably not have gathered so much attention, maybe even avoided this whole situation.
