Maybe this can help some of y'all, or be something else entirely. I remember seeing this Method used on
Dexter's Laboratory. Research says that, "Dexter is “slugging” the storyboard. This means he is doing a rough timing pass for how long each panel should be on screen. This timing goes to a sheet timer (x-sheets) and an editor to make a leica reel (animatic)" Quote is from a Twitter user: MattyDanner... Possibly y'all know more. Is this done for Sprite and Game Animation as well? Could be a good look into or simple question. Maybe somebody could bring to life an Article or Articles focused on Animations, and their little things like the StopWatch Method.

Interesting, I've always liked the Spider Verse movie timing like the 12 fps. There's also Yoshimichi Kameda explosive style, it can be really expressive while also being very impactful

Anyway, the stopwatch method is good for any animator that really wanted to express their timing with animation
