The remake made him look too gentle, almost like he's Cloud's best friend who wanna share an elixir after a mission (or a cosplayer, you choose).

And I'm sorry but why the remake loves putting a ton of blue light in the game? Where have the colours gone?

they just think better Graphics = Better game..how sad.

That cutscene with Sephiroth and Jenova is basically why I still prefer the original over the remake.

Playing the Og over the demake good taste I see.

I'm playing and enjoying both. I mentioned how I'm not playing Rebirth (Part 2 of the Remake trilogy) right now because the current heatwave would bake my PC to a crisp if I put that on right now.

The original and the remake has qualities of their own, such as amplifying characterization. Nanaki and Barret's additional dialogue has actually made me begin to grow especially fonder of these characters compared to their slates inside the original game. I'm not walking into the Remake expecting something wholly better then the original. Of course the original is better then the remake in some areas, but there are also moments that make the Remake worth playing. It's more ways for me to enjoy the beautiful universe of FFVII. So I'm not complaining.

Well that is less merit of the remake since you would have to try screwing up this game its not as good as the Original but its not a bad game since its based on a good game but its for me a inferior version to the Og.

Still if anybody asked I would say play the Ps1 version over the Remaster.

That's the thing. This is not a remaster. This is a remake.
A remake is a reconstruction of the original material while giving it a different twist compared to the original, a chance to look over it again with different lens and ideas.

We can enjoy both. I love the original and the remake for different reasons. The love that the remake has given Barret and Nanaki has characters has influenced me to have them in my party at all times even in the original.

They did change some things up in the game and not just the graphics so I stay with Remaster and not remake.

Also you are of course free to enjoy the game you like I won't deny you that.
For me Graphics are not everything and something of the soul was lost in the Remaster but each their own.

Ladies and gentlemen, I’d like to let you know that I’ve finally and for the first time in my life beaten the first Dragon Quest (SNES-port).

The game is short, but for various reasons it took me a long time to finish it. And I have to tell you that it’s a real gem and, in general, a true relic of a bygone era.

I think it’s really worth playing by every jrpg fan, after all those super deep and technical games like Shin Megami Tensei, Star Ocean, Tales of, Xenoblade, Final Fantasy etc. After all, without DQ, they simply wouldn’t exist! :)

Dragon Quest is a Awesome series even If I never came around beating the Snes port myself to much grind but I should give it a try again someday.
