Had a Best Buy gift card so I ended up buying Yoshi and the Mysterious Book because I was looking for something a little more laid back to break up what I've been currently playing.

I really like the puzzle concept of this game where you just experiment interacting with the environment and creatures to see what kind of outcomes you get. Its actually pretty unique in that regard and its fun when a "will anything happen if I do this?" idea actually pays off with a response. And since you can't die, you can just take your time experimenting.

I was watching these flower creatures make little flower crowns and putting them on each others heads and celebrating. It was cute, so I figured I would take a screenshot. I moved Yoshi in between them, lining up my shot, when all the sudden one of the flower fellas placed a flower crown one me! I was not expecting that and caught myself smiling. I then took the screenshot:

I only really got screenshots of Pokemon Unite and Guild Wars mostly, I try to get a couple matches in with Pokemon Unite before I gotta go to work. (I play Unite on Switch 2.)

Sure. Rockstar usually make good games. Only on the PSP you have Midnight Club 3 and the GTA Stories duology as examples.

A really great level! I love the aesthetics of this level, and I appreciate how it rewards skilled players (like me, lol!)

The Last Challenge! This one is really simple but fun!

I like how the yellow challenge has a sort of Wild West vibe, with the colorful, desert-like background and you shooting the bandits.

The rat enemy makes this part really annoying!

Final Fantasy VII, catching up on it more while the heatwave makes Rebirth impossible.

I love this shot of the crew about to bring it to Shinra, there's something so loveable about their poses, and the model of Cloud's buster sword.

I didn't realize the last time I played this game how chilling this composition of Jenova is. It really feels like it slips outside of the grasp that all the characters in the story know of it. It's not even really Jenova herself, but it can perhaps be seen as a portrayal of the incomprehensible horror that encroaches our world as long as she's on it.

That cutscene with Sephiroth and Jenova is basically why I still prefer the original over the remake.

I need to understand how the people at Square didn't understand that Sephiroth is an actually mentally shattered man that has an almost pathologic obsession with that eldritch monster that vaguely looks like a woman

The remake made him look too gentle, almost like he's Cloud's best friend who wanna share an elixir after a mission (or a cosplayer, you choose).

And I'm sorry but why the remake loves putting a ton of blue light in the game? Where have the colours gone?
