I've been playing some eclectic stuff recently, though all of it I'm enjoying!

Spoiler: Fatal Frame 2 Remake

Dang, this game is beautiful. I do agree with the IGN review that said it had sort of 'game-ified' FF2 a little too much - having like upgrade-trees and collectables does make the game a touch less scary. I'm having a lot of fun, though, now that I've gotten the hang of the combat. I'm also impressed how organic the extensions of the story feel! Probably gonna beat this in the next few days.

Spoiler: Tsukihime

I've been enjoying Tsukihime: a piece of blue glass moon on the Switch, as well. Now that the vampire shit has actually started to pick up, I'm really loving it. It's a nice tonal change from Witch on the Holy Night, which has so far been my only other venture into the Nasuverse. This one feels nastier, and I love that there are actual choices going on. Even if it's just a BAD END, I always have fun seeing if I'd survive these kinds of things. I'm a sucker for the Dark Pictures games, ya know?

Spoiler: The Bard's Tale

Finally, for some ungodly reason I've fallen 8-hours-deep into a playthrough of The Bard's Tale. I picked up the trilogy of this when it was on a deep discount on GoG, when I was first discovering my love for dungeon crawlers. I bounced off it a few years back when I first tried it, but now that I've got a few more of these things under my belt, I'm kind of understanding to joy of it all. These are my tank and bard. Enjoy.

Well... I finally gave in and bought Pokemon Legends Z-A. It was on sale at a pretty good discount at a local retailer It's... actually a lot of fun. The Legends spin-offs are by far my favourite Pokemon games in a long while, although I still think Legends Arceus was way better. I also love that you can use the photo mode to customize your own trainer card.

I think so, too! My girlfriend and I have both been playing a lot of it - it's so zippy! I really enjoy grinding in it actually. I'm a little take-it-or-leave-it on the plot, but the side characters are very fun.

I think that if I had to choose, I prefer turn-based Pokémon, but there are plenty of those. So I think at the very least this is a worthy experiment, and I'm having a lot of fun with it.
