As i continue playing aftermath expansion missions many memories come back...
This mission is called PAWN , one of the most memorable missions i played due to it giving the player 3 war factories that's insane! Until you realize they are fake you gotta hold out relying mainly on infantry while soviets assault your half fake/half real base relentlessly , in this picture infantry elements are engaging each other while a jeep drifts in to help allied infantry.
The mammoth tank with its new armor type became a tough nut to crack , while i always held the numbers advantage the mammoth now goes down but not before eliminating at least 2 of my tanks...a mechanic can be seen closing in towards the tanks to repair them and hopefully not get nuked by the mammoth vicious anti infantry rockets.
With the soviet offensive stalled now it's time to take the battle to the commies walls , the task force as seen in this picture is ready to start the counteroffensive.
Breakingthrough
While i did breakthrough it came at the cost of majority of the taskforce
With enough resources and many reserves the attack continued smoothly , the boys here are bullying a powerless tesla coil.
In red alert 1 the AI was programmed to sell everything it had and attack the player with all the remaining units , this is done when certain conditions are met and i happened to catch it on camera this time.
Without being able to crush infantry my tanks got a spanking...
Nothing better than bullets against human flesh , good old jeep works just fine.
Having finished the allies missions i start soviet missions and got slammed with a nostalgia hit , This mission was my jam back in the day , more of the same behavior in the last allied mission , a YAK attack plane is seen firing upon the helpless allied troops while soviet vehicles escape the scene.
The attack was intense enough that the YAKs couldn't stall it and due to ore running out i used my ore harvesters as a shield to my infantry (comrade driver wasn't happy) , these men with yellow colored weapons are "shock troopers" using a handheld tesla gun to fry everything that moves! They are great against infantry and vehicles alike their only downside is the cost.
I finally got the chance to test the mammoth tanks after fixing them , suffice to say they were too fun to use against the allied dogs.
Continuing the rampage in this mission with the mammoth tanks joining other tank elements to finish off the last allied defenders , the vehicles with the blue orb are the 1st generation of "tesla tanks" think of them as shock troopers but they are better at everything.
In another mission i had to go through an allied base , after softening up the defenses with MIGs and causing an allied atomic bomb to detonate in the base i sent 5 mammoth tanks to finish the job despite the weakened defenses the base still put up a fight so much so i had to use the iron curtain on one of the mammoths to prevent it from getting destroyed , that small red blob at the hill is the remains of an allied soldier who was unfortunate enough to be the target of the mammoth tank "husks"
(the 5th tank was a little further down you can see it on the radar)
And with this red alert 1 screenshots are finished admittedly they aren't very consistent with each other well reason Is i was having too much fun with this that i forgot to take pictures in many occasions.
While i said in another thread there will be no Diablo pictures consider this a exception , yes right now I'm playing Diablo hellfire as the rouge
Never said it wasn't I'm having a good time playing the game and learning the new stuff, like the command mechanics (new to me, that only played the ogs games from the ps2 era)
