After finishing Diablo 2 i remembered i still had to finish Sudden strike resources war campaigns , with awful design and endlessly spawning enemies you don't get a moment of peace in a slow paced game , absolutely horrible which is sad since the maps look pretty and the game utilizes unit saving mechanic basically units from previous mission appear in the next one so it's better to preserve as many units especially howtizers.

Anyway i finished the British campaign today it's about the battle of caen i didn't take any pictures of mission 1 or 2 or 3 but i got to take few of the final mission where i had to defend an airport from desperate counterattack by 1st SS panzer division idk if it's based on an actual skirmish that happened IRL but i don't care i got to kick SS ass and that's what matters.

sscr001.jpg

One of the many attacks repulsed.

sscr008.jpg

Using a captured German tank destroyer i "conceal" it and use it to blow up the panther tank seen here just to engage the ill fated german paratroopers.

sscr004.jpg

Stopping more german tanks the comets did a great job in carrying this defensive mission.

sscr009.jpg

Forced to abandon the hill due to concealment becoming difficult risking my fragile comets i had to use it as a shield to prevent germans from spotting my tanks while I'm able to shoot back hopefully without being shot at (notice the German tiger i captured despite its legendary reputation it wasn't actually very helpful)

sscr010.jpg

Forced to retreat even more i made a last stand at the airport ground itself if my comets are gone I'm done for (thankfully they survived)

I then immediately started the soviet campagin my beloved faction where you get to command i think 12th tanks army? I don't remember somewhere after crossing oder river?

sscr011.jpg

A t34-85 tank blowing up a German pz3 this mission had you go through enemy defensive lines dragon teeth can be seen as well as hedgehogs using a hill nearby i went around the defensive line instead of attacking it directly.

sscr012.jpg

Destroying more German tanks in this picture a T34-85 so low on ammo manged to finally get off a shot on a pz3 that was firing at a KV2 with no ammunition at all...

sscr013.jpg

Due to running out of ammunition for the tank in the picture above this one i had to use more tanks in a rare case i (the soviets) were on the losing side of a war of attrition where my ammunition ran so low i had to use tanks with no ammo to soak up shots from enemy tanks! Thankfully in this picture the situation was resolved.

sscr014.jpg

Mission 2 of the soviet campagin having to fight through 2nd German defense line resistance is far greater and losses are far more than the first mission the craters in this picture tell it all the panzers here actually blown up 5 t34s (2 can be seen at the edge of the picture) before being stopped by these fellas here though it came at the cost of the valuable t34-85 variant

Haven't played modded Diablo in ages but @Zerpina inspired me to give it another go. I've been playing the same mod as her (more specifically, the Tchernobog variety since it's newer), though it's not like there are that many prominent mods for Diablo, at least to my knowledge. Picked a necromancer because it's a class not present in the original game and man it's pretty hard. You need magic to learn spells with which you kill the first few enemies you can raise as skeletons but at the same time you need all the other stats so that your bony bois don't die in one hit. My stats are stretched pretty thin, at least so far. I managed to make it to nightmare despite the fact that I haven't even seen Diablo on normal (and I'm 100% sure I wouldn't be able to beat him) but I'm rolling with the punches so far. Seems to me like I really need to find much better gear moreso than anything else.

Very cool @Clippy Glad I did something that made someone happy game-wise around here.
And bro, Amanda and I had an absolute blast playing it. It was a fun, fun time.
Sometimes, you just need to step back from all the modern games and play a classic video game, you Love.

What have i been playing? Oh well i continued my playthrough of this awful sudden strike iteration Resources war (sigh) the soviet campagin is usually the best but not for Resources war it was awful , frustrating and agitating i was boiling from inside it took me straight up over 10 hours to just beat a 3 mission campaign i couldn't take many pictures of this awful mess but here is the best i could.

sscr001.jpg

A flame tank setting a panther ablaze while capturing the old fortress one of the mission objectives.

The briefing of mission 3 sudden strike has some really nice way of mission briefings.

2.jpg

The ruins of the industrial area a zone as seen here saw many skirmishes

1.jpg

Defending against an insane attack by German king tigers thankfully the tanks are blind to which I'm not!

3.jpg

Almost finishing mission 3 my aim wasn't to exterminate the Germans from the map but oh well here we are at the sight of the last German unit

4.jpg

Capturing the mission objective with surviving crewmen you don't need to destroy the enemy just meet the trigger requirements and you won!

After this uhm frustrating experience that was Resources war i began the testing phase of my WarCraft 3 mod replaying the game story

WC3ScrnShot_080325_174410_01.jpg
assaulting human base

WC3ScrnShot_080325_182549_03.jpg

Fending off a sea witch

I also had some screenshots from an older undead melee game i played the plan was to go full ground based army using abominations and cover them with flyers called gargoyles

WC3ScrnShot_071925_222552_04.jpg

In my mod abominations are a powerhouse so massing them isn't bad idea

Oh i also played Age of mythology after like 1 year and 5-6 months of not touching that game!

screen36.jpg

Assaulting a Greek base the fire spewing machine are fire siphons the atlanteans siege weapon , the aim of this attack was to soften enemy defense

screen37.jpg

My allies titan finishing the weakened Greeks off

screen38.jpg

A group of nerids these shark riding girls are one of atlantis myth units they can deliver powerful attacks but are quite fragile.

screen39.jpg
the nerids fighting (and successfully) killing the Greek hero Odysseus this was followed by them actually succeeding in killing jason and even Hercules!
(both are standing near the red ship)

I played this single player mission for Resources war called "one problem" it's about a British tank regiment that gets encircled and need to breakout the goal is at least 25% of initial troops should survive this equals at Least 17 tanks and 5 officers of the initial force , couldn't take many pictures due to how i fought my way out (with 2 comet tanks lol) but here are some of the most notable stuff

sscr001.jpg

sscr002.jpg

sscr003.jpg

These 3 pictures portray a risky but brave attempt at destroying a German SPG using PIAT rifles luckily the thing didn't see the lads so we get this one playing some fireworks for us

sscr004.jpg

sscr005.jpg

I tried to capture some infantry fighting but the Germans were too few in number after few bombing runs that took out their tanks , this is the best i could get.

sscr006.jpg

And finally a part of the huge and visible on the map convoy that made it back to friendly lines , in this picture Matilda tanks to the right and lots of British infantry are seen , officers can be distinguished thanks to their red berets
